Finding Neverland...

First off I did enjoy this movie, but I kept waiting for Peter Pan to break out. My first mistake was thinking this was another Peter Pan film, it's not. It's really kind of mushy, and though the story gives you a feeling of timelessness, it actually moves rather quickly. The acting was great and convincing. Finding Neverland is a perfect family movie. :)

King Arthur...

They said the idea, was to make a convincing, practical outlook at the core of the legend. Apparently there are some archaeological finds which could prove the Authurian Legends. The idea was good, the characters were all interesting and believeable, but some of the situations weren't. First off, I do not like Kiera Knightly. I think she is a horrible actor and she's not all that pretty. When they find her character in the film, she has been tortured and starved, yet after only a little while she is making proclomations and declorations at the top of her lungs...So perhaps the prospect of death gives strength to her voice. But not only does she speak loudly and firmly, after starvation and torture, she feels fit enough to hit on Arthur and Lancelot, and draw a bow to help hold off the Saxon army. Right. They said that it makes sense that shes a warrior because during that time period most societies were matriarchal, ok, I'll buy that, they've got other female warriors to make it consistant. But why is it that the other women have vest like shirts that at least cover most of their upper bodies, whilst she is wearing a string tied around certian parts? Hmm? I was confused throughout the film, because I kept expecting Robin Hood to come leading the forest people out while they fought. Perhaps it was the wrong time period, but there seemed to be more similarities to the Robin Hood myth than that of King Arthur.
