I've heard about both attempts. I don’t know all the details, but I think that it’s sad that the state of politics in America is at the point where individuals may consider a candidate could hoax their own assassination attempt. Is that really the conversation we are having now? It’s such an absurd idea. But, at the same time I feel that it’s not beneath Trump. I would not be surprised if he did hoax it. I would totally believe it. I truly think that man will sink to any depth if he feels it will be of personal gain to him. I’m in no position to tell Americans how to feel about this election. But, I wish the candidates would go back to respectfully discussing policy and their plans for the American people. Many people are hurting. I think people should go back and watch/listen to the first 1960 United States presidential debate between JFK and Nixon. While watching that debate, keep in mind that the debate was widely seen as an example of a poor debate performance by Nixon. Nixon was absolutely ruined by that debate. Watching it now in 2024, and comparing it to these debates with Trump, and it seems like Nixon and JFK had the most professional, articulate, and respectable debate ever. |

Well, if the immigration problem ( which has been around since Adam & Eve were shown the door out of Eden) were truly of no benefit to those that wish to exploit them for their profit then it would've been resolved by now. Plus, I ask all politicians, business leaders, media executives to show genuine facts / evidence before creating a mass panic to benefit their party or agenda. Growing up in Southern California, back in the 1960's there were many immigration issues, civil rights issues yes and the like. IMO, Trump is no different than William Randolph Hearst / Rupert Murdoch. Trump is part of something larger that has too much money and wants too much power to make this country great again...plus this nation was built upon immigrants. I saw a t-shirt once on a Native American woman (when I lived in Arizona) that read: " Sure you can trust the government. Just ask an Indian!" |

Hey Morphix, always good to see you here. When Nixon was running for Vice President on the Eisenhower campaign, there was an issue with donations brought in to question. This lead to his famous " Checkers" speech. To this date, as far as I know, no harm or dinner recipe suggestions were made regarding the family dog. |

Ginger "L.D." here: I like pork, whether it's wearing lipstick, or not. kronk---Hiya, Ginger! Please excuse the talking dog. The center of his world is his stomach. "L.D."---There's something else that matters??? kronk---Ugh! Anyway.....In this day and age, can we believe "anything" that we hear? An even more frightening question might be: Can we believe everything that we see? Do I believe the assassination attempt was a hoax? No, I think someone did really try and off Donald Trump. Could the whole thing be a hoax? Of course it could. A very, elaborate hoax, but still very possible. "L.D."---Where "are" you going with this, man? kronk---In conclusion::: "L.D."---Thank heaven. kronk---I've always disliked the way Donald Trump did his hair and upon a time, I actually thought Kamala Harris was extremely hot. "L.D."---I can't believe you wrote that! You're one sick puppy! kronk---Do you mind, dog. I'm about to give my closing remarks. "L.D."---Ugh! Sheeeesh.... kronk---I'd vote for "Alfred E. Neuman" if I thought that he would put the welfare of ALL the citizens of the United States of America first. "L.D."---Is that it? kronk---"That is all I have to say about that." |

Thanks for the comments Morphix, Hey Larry and Kronk. It's nice to know I'm not alone sitting in my suspicious corner. We wish for transparency in our governing entities, but I'm pretty sure the meaning of that has been lost amoung all the political upheaval. I did notice a stark difference in the moderators of this most recent debate. To interrupt the proceedings to 'set the record straight' at least 3 major times with lies that Trump spouted, was at the very least refreshing to see. I'm wondering if this new approach in moderating was due in part or completely to the incredible tales Trump says, non-stop. I have to applaud the change. |

Yes Morphix, so many people are really hurting in so many ways in this country right now. We need some real decisions made that will help the lower and middle classes. Under Trumps administration we kept hearing the same ol same ol.... gotta get rid of things like Obama Care. But 13 years later when Trump was asked what his plan had finally come up with as a replacement for much needed health care he said, nothing specific but that he has a 'concept'. That sounds to me like what you hear from the contractor right before he gives you the bad news about how far overbudget your kitchen remodel will cost you. Hey Larry, are you sure you don't want to set up a concession stand and sell merchandise like that shirt? I think you could make enough to get a spiffy new lounge chair out by the USM party pool ... LoL Kronk ... hmmm Alfred E. Neuman you say. Can I write that in on my ballot? |

What are you doing back on this post? You've already commented and advised us all that you had nothing else to add. kronk---Yo, dog. Relax, please. I "had" to come back after I read Ginger's comment. The lady hit on something that I can relate to. "L.D."---Well....Spit it out, man. I have to go and catch one of the Mayor's chickens. My stomach is growling. kronk---Your stomach is always growling. But, anyway. RE: "Lower and middle class" Every single day, I witness how our lower and middle class "citizens" are hurting. For many, gone are the times when the family went out for a round of hamburgers. No more trips to a favorite place, because there is just not enough spare cash in the cookie jar. Money for fuel is rationed so the bread winner can make it to work and back, all week. "L.D."---Yeah, well we ain't exactly living a "Life of Luxury," either. I'm tired of eating that cheap cardboard flavored dog food, man! kronk---We're more fortunate than many. At least we still have lots of crab. "L.D."---I'm tired of eating crab, too. My cholesterol is going through the roof. kronk---...and, in closing... "L.D."---Halleluiah !!! kronk---"They" can (and will) promise and prophesize; they can accuse and condemn- It's what "they" do. Most of us have a pretty good idea what is in it for "them." We need to figure out what's in it for "US." GO VOTE !!! |
Date: 9/18/2024 6:17:00 AM From Authorid: 21435 Ginger I'm not sure that Mr. Neuman is even active, these days?? I still feel that Alfred looks more like Charles Philip Arthur George, than Donald Trump. Always good to read you, lady. |
