The Worst Circus Disaster EVER!
Almost 8,000 people were packed into a Circus Tent in Hartford, USA in 1944, when some careless smoker through a cigarette butt onto the sawdust floor. The flame quickly spread and then FLARED through the tent. 168 people died in the fire and 700 more were injured.
The lesson? DON'T SMOKE! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When an oil pipeline in Nigeria began leaking in 1998 the news spread quickly to all the surrounding villages. Soon all the locals exictedly ran up to the oil and started collecting it. About 2,000 people had gathered around when...KABOOM ( soz I had to write that :p ) The pipeline had exploded. The flames quickly flared up fueled by the oil and spread to many of the surroundiong villages. At least 500 died and many, many more were severly injured.
The lesson? Don't be a gossipy news spreading person (when I hear gossip it comes to my brain in little radio waves which I can keep and exchange for a Boost Juice voucher... :p ). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Workers in a fireworks plant in China in 2003 took some gunpowder outside to dry. The sun was hotter than they thought and this caused the powder to cause a MASSIVE explosion . At least 29 people died and hundreds more injured.
The lesson? NO MORE NEW YEARS FIREWORKS FOR ME!
