Let's see if I can start this off with a couple stories.......One Autumn I had decorated with Foddershock,bale of hay, ribbons Orange and black, I had purchased some Pumkins, ghourds, the bigger pumpkins and smaller pumpkins, around in my lawn and on my patio..I would feed this stray black cat in the neighborhood,or at least leave food out for him then one week I had to be away from home for a few days due to surgery..when I returned home, I got up early that morning and was going to go to the barn to feed this black cat that no one seemed to like but me (lol)...so when I opened the door, there in the middle of all those pumpkins on my patio was the black cat...I looked at him and said, "Boo!" lol..I named him this and he became my cat.... there is an elderly gentleman in my hometown, who for years during the harvest, he would have pumpkins, ghourds of all shapes and sizes for sale...( The same elderly gentleman I bought my pumpkins and ghourds from), and he had a little wooden box that had a sign tacked to it and the sign simply read, "Whatever you think it is worth" Most always he would have either $50 or $100 in that little wooden box at the end of the week, he had said.......  |

My favorite holiday is Christmass, becase of my children. I try to teach them that Christmass is not just about presents, but about Jesus, that is why we are celebrating it. I just love the atmosphere of the holidays. Great Post!Misty  |

Thanks Misty for sharing!!...Christmas is my Favorite time too!!...There are so many Happy memories of my childhood centered around Christmas time...Decorating the Nativity...Appreciating at Christmas and every day God's Blessings, thanking Him for Jesus,, and Sharing Jesus' story with Children...,Decorating a Christmas tree...I enjoy the Hot chocolate, Christmas candy...Church Caroling..School and Church Christmas Plays...Decorations and Lights, Hearing Christmas Bells and watching all the Wonderful Christmas movies even the Animated ones! (lol), I would love to have a horse pulling a sleigh during a snow fall. with jingle bells on the sleigh! (lol), Wouldn't it be nice if every day could be like Christmas...when the Spirit of Christmas, of Love and giving, sharing is in the air and every one has Happy smiling faces..... |

I personally LOVE Halloween....and of course Christmas, but not for the presents... and not for Jesus... just everyone always is so much more... amiable towards each other. And I used to love New Years Eve, until I went and got married on that day... lol  |

LOL BewitchedGem...I enjoy Christmas and I Guess the others would be Thanksgiving and Valentine's Day..although I enjoy decorating for Autumn Personally, I believe Halloween is just too dangerous for kids any more and it is always best for parents to take their kids to malls or family and friends they know and trust... |

my 3 faves are halloween, thanksgiving and x-mas. halloween, cause its justa kool holiday. all the costumes , the scariness of it. i love that. thanksgiving , cause i get to be with my family. some i dont get to see very often. and x-mas , the same as thanksgiving, but i love the feeling of it too. its a gr8 holiday to be with the ones you love.   |

I love Christmas the best of all the holidays. I like the beautiful lights in the streets and the decorated homes and stores. I love the Christmas carols , the snow falling on the tall pine trees and especially watching all the smallest children in the family opening their gifts on Christmas morning. I really dislike the way the stores though are ruining this special holiday by their greed so early in the season.  |

I don't really get into holidays anymore. I used to Love Christmas and would decorate the whole house (including bathrooms!) but the past few years it's just seems like I am the only person in the family that can go shopping. Shopping isn't even fun anymore. By the time I do my shopping and then my dad's shopping and then my mom's shopping..........well, i'm ready for a nap!! i haven't decorated in three years. last year i didn't even have a tree! we were doing some remodeling at the time and i had a broken elbow and the five hundred boxes of decorations were in the basement and out building so i just didn't fool with it! Easter used to be fun when I had a kid but we don't even color eggs anymore. two years ago on easter we went to cherokee to the casino. everybody thought that was awful. you know, going to a casino on Sunday, not to mention easter Sunday! I don't act like i'm any better on Sunday than any other day of the week so what's the big deal?! fourth of july......usually got to work. halloween.....i think i out grew it!! thanskgiving......i guess that would have to be my fav as long as it's not at my house!!  |

I love Chistmas! Not just because you get presents but because it's a wonderful time to spend time with the people you love. I have many good memories of Christmas. Christmas is the only holiday I decorate for. I don't like Halloween or Thanksgiving that much. Thanksgiving isn't that bad but I like Christmas more for some odd reason. LOL! I really hate Halloween. I don't like the fact that people go door to door asking for candy. It doesn't seem like a fun idea to me and I can't seem to find a good costume to wear. Like this year I'm going to a Halloween party and I have no clue what to wear. I don't really like dressing up but it can be fun if you know what you want to wear. LOL!  |

It's Cute Spooky Gal to see all the Little Kids....Yea Rawhide...Christmas is a Special time of Year for me and I Also Enjoy Easter as well....Yea I wonder about the stores stocking their merchandise for a quick sale so early too Miss Posey.....Thanksgiving is a Great time for my Family too Mfrompa.....I enjoy the 4th Of July as well Super Princess......I know what you mean my Sister,MomaBug...Christmas is about a Saviour's Birth to me..of the Gift of Love,, of family and of friends of seeing Little Children Laughing and Smiling ...The last three Christmases have not been the same since Losing my husband and my Dad...I didn't decorate or have a tree until last Christmas., Christmas isn't about buying this present or that present..it's about Love, Loving one another...and being thankful for the many Blessings in Our Lives....There are many at Christmas time who do not have a family to celebrate with..it is a lonely time for them...For some it brings great stress when it shouldn't....But rather then Celebrating Christmas alone as I have for the past three years,,I plan to Give, instead, to share Love what the season is all about to me and it is why this year I plan to get more involved with shelters, Kitchens who prepare food for others..Elderly homes, Children's Homes, Vets homes...I enjoy seeing all the little children in their cute costumes, too HJ....Yes YankeesGirl17 to me Christmas is by far my favorite holiday and a Happy time of the year.... That sure sounds like fun! i love Christmas as well. basically for my son. I am a christian woman and i try to teach my son that christmas is more than just presents...but it is still nice to watch his face christmas morning. i also love halloween. i like taking my son trick-or-treating and i enjoy decorating for this holiday. i also decorate for christmas too though. so i would have to say the two of them are my favorites.  |

LOL Mama Firstborn...I'm not much on confusion myself... Thanksgiving is a wonderful time of the year for me as well spent with my family when I'm not working that is, lol.....Sounds Wonderful Cage, I used to love taking one of my neice's Trick-or-treating,, I saw some of the Halloween decorations ghosts and scarecrows in Osco Drug as well as Wal-Mart the other day and they were so hilarous...Angel Follower, Christmas is a Wonderful time of the Year!...I Think about those who do not have any family or do not share the Holidays with Family or Friends...and Hope to get involved this way bringing Joy and smiles to others' faces, more than likely I will not be able to share the Holidays with my Family and Friends, working and being away from home, too so I can't think of any better Gift then to share Christmas with those who otherwise would not Celebrate Thanksgiving or Christmas....That is so befitting, Big Brother Wooden Nickel...I will remember that!...Hugs....Thank You every one for sharing!!!
