I guess. I really don't agree with that. I just think there is a reason women were made to be the child bearers. I don't know enough about it though. I can't imagina and I honestly don't want to see the day. I think if men could carry babies, it would not last for long, they're bodies aren't made for that. I know it's an uneducated answer but I totally disagree. It's not natural. If it was meant to be that way; wouldn't we just asexual or something instead? I don't know. Even with the 2 women w/o a man thing. That's weird. Just adopt. There are so many children out there that need a home. Children all over the world. When I read this post, it reminded me of the X and Y factors in DNA, so I looked it up real fast. So, not to get technical, I believe the offspring of a male/male combination could end up with brain or other very serious DNA related problems!
Males have 23 sets of chromosomes, 22 sets are X-X and one set is X-X or X-Y (y being what determines a male). A female has 23 sets of chromosomes , 23 sets of X-X. The Y chromosome triggers development of male characteristis; other than that, the Y chromosome is blank. Whereas the X chromosome has almost nothing to do with females. Instead it has genes with infomation for all sorts of characteristics needed by both males and females. Example, a gene that is important in the functioning of the brain is located in the X chromosome, among many more vital functions. So, if you get half of your DNA (chromosomes) from your father, you would either 22 X chromosomes and 1 Y, or 23 "X" chromosomes. From your mother you get 23 "X" chromosomes. If you only have the chromosomes of two men, there is great possiblilty you could get 22X and 2Y (which is not present in humans), and being missing a very vital X factor that determines function. So, didn't ya'll just really enjoy that!!! For that reason, even besides the moral issue it would be criminal to breed these type of humans! Love and Light  |

I'm all for everyone being able to have a child no matter what their gender..but even lesbians have to use donated sperm to fertilize an egg from one of the women..it's not as if they put the woman's DNA into the donated sperm..  |

I have a hard time believing something like this could even work. It just doesn't seem possible. Lightworker made some very good points. Also, it would be interesting to see a man actually carry a child...LOL. I read somewhere before that men are capable of breastfeeding. Of course, they'd have to take some sort of hormone injections, but I just thought that was a cool, interesting little tidbit of info. I also think that parenthood should be based on the maturity and capability of the parents, not their sexual orientation. Given the choice of parents who are hetero, sorry, unloving, and do not care for themselves or their children ~OR~ parents who are loving, caring, committed, and homosexual, I'd pick the homosexual couple anyday.  |
