Janessa woke up to the unfriendly sound of her alarm clock. "Another great day" she said to herself sarcastically. She went about her daily routine and arrived at school. There was no best friend to greet her like the other girls. On the bus she sat alone as usual and when she got to school it was the same. She dived into the sea of student and swam her way to her first period class. Her s.s. teacher Mrs. Hughes was making everyone do a group project and was assigning partners. Everyone got paired up with their friends. Everyone except for Janessa. She had no friends. But fate would have it Janessa got paired up with Hallie, one of the most popular girls in school. Janessa saw the shocked and angry look Hallie made when she was announced Janessas partner. Janessa felt immediately hurt. But she kept all her emotions bottled up cause thats the way she was. Hallie looked at her best friend, Jen, and made a disguisting face look. Jen copied. Little did anyone know at that time Hallie would be the only one who could help Janessa.
