...they hated feeling Greecey early in the day?

Date: 10/24/2020 10:55:00 AM  From Authorid: 5301

...actually, it doesn't matter how long they sleep.
They're still European in bed.

...I tried to wrap my head around this joke but it's still all Greek to me.

Date: 10/24/2020 11:10:00 AM  From Authorid: 5301

...okay, before I insult the Greek people further, please stipulate
whether you meant Athens in Greece or Athens in Georgia.
This might make a huge difference in my next series of guesses.

Date: 10/24/2020 11:50:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5940    Hmmmm....before I give the answer, what if it was Georgia? Ooppppss I guess it kinda gave that one away eh?
Date: 10/24/2020 11:53:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5940    Just want to explore your versatility when it comes to your “Don Rickles” way of spreading warmth and good cheer......

...okay. If you meant Athens, Georgia, I'll risk insulting my American friends
there (not that I have any friends anyway)and say they hate getting up early
because the bars don't open until noon.

Date: 10/24/2020 12:11:00 PM  From Authorid: 5301

...send your hate mail to : Hey Larry
c/o Unsolvedmysteries.com

HE STARTED THIS!

Date: 10/24/2020 12:20:00 PM  From Authorid: 5301

...and while I'm on the topic of bars not opening until noon, how did you get such an early start?

Date: 10/24/2020 12:23:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5940    Believe it or not, all mail including hate mail benefits the USPS, as the current person in charge is funneling money to his former corporation thanks to our pseudo commander in chief. But I digress....the answer is .. because DAWN is tough on Greece.
Date: 10/24/2020 12:24:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5940    I got an early start by buying in bulk.
Date: 10/24/2020 12:31:00 PM  From Authorid: 5301

...I had originally considered "The Dawn of Civilization" to be something to do with the joke but couldn't figure out the twist.

Date: 10/24/2020 12:38:00 PM  From Authorid: 5301

...you seem to be less than trusting of some of the people the U.S. has in positions of power.
Did your parents never hug you or let you sip their brewskis as a kid?

Date: 10/24/2020 12:55:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5940    Athens....named after Athena. Athena, a song from the album “It’s Hard” by The Who. The Greeks don’t want no freaks.... and so on.
Date: 10/24/2020 1:02:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5940    Less than trusting is an understatement. From Richard Nixon on we’ve been on a downward spiral. I really feel that Harry Truman was the last genuine public servant this nation truly had, not to mention when he left office he was not wealthy due to his belief that public office was not meant to be used for personal gain. One of his lesser known quotes was “ Show me a politician who uses his position to get rich and I’ll show you a crook!”
Date: 10/24/2020 1:04:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5940    Oh,and yes, I did have a sip of Coors once in the summer of 1970 , 1971, 1972, ...................
Date: 10/24/2020 1:16:00 PM  From Authorid: 21435    Ohhhhhh! hahahaha....ha. That's a good one! Hey Larry I wracked my brain, trying to guess that one, without doing a search. I'd probably still be trying, if my talking dog hadn't inadvertently, (he says, anyway) bitten me on the ankle. He told me that he was chasing a two inch long mosquito and that my ankle got between him and his intended prey. (I think the little mugger has been filing his teeth, too.) But, never mind that. Back when I was a young gun, or is that youngun, or perhaps even yong on; I fantasized about getting freakishly wealthy and having a replica of the Parthenon, built in the middle of a cypress swamp, near my home. A "Parthenon on legs," so to speak. "If you don't eat your meat; you can't have any pudding! How can you have any pudding' if you don't eat yer meat?" (Pink Floyd) ...Ta Leme

Date: 10/24/2020 1:17:00 PM  From Authorid: 5301

...did The Eagles ever actually confer with any Greeks before writing that song.
Probably not as it seems like the Greeks aren't short of freaks these days.
Politicians!

I agree with Truman. Public office should not be a lever with which to line your pockets.
I see it with Canadian politicos all the time. They start with ideals and succumb to greed.

Date: 10/24/2020 1:20:00 PM  From Authorid: 5301

...so instaed of the Parthenon, Kronk opened a Bubba Gump Shrimp Shack.
You do whatcha gottta do.

Date: 10/24/2020 2:49:00 PM  From Authorid: 21435    Hekler Yes, it's true that wealth has indeed eluded me, and somehow come to rest on "the candidate." Oh, well; it is what it is. I have expanded my seafood business (if you call peeling seafood a business) to include the processing and sale of blue crab. My talking dog came up with a catchy (or perhaps, a sketchy) advertising slogan: "Crabs! You want `em? We got `em!" So? I am going places, or what? adios
Date: 10/24/2020 2:51:00 PM  From Authorid: 21435    I need to find a spell check. Ugh!
Date: 10/24/2020 2:57:00 PM  From Authorid: 5301

...Kronk...you're going to be a billionaire soon with that slogan.
If you want, I'll write a jingle for your TV commercials.
Something "catchy".
