I have something on my mind....
Who snatched the USM Official Chatroom Door Greeters????? They are Gone!
I am not one to frequent chat rooms, but I do drop in to USM's from time to time, (as I found it to be a very nice place), to say hello to a few of the people that I have met on the site that might per chance be in there.
Well, when I first joined the site a couple of years ago, you couldn't enter the chatroom without being bombarded with Happy Little Dudes smiling and waving to you as SO MANY of the chatters greeted your entrance. This always made me feel welcome and made me smile.
Times have changed......
Yes, there are still a few (depending on when you visit) that make it a point to greet people as they enter, however, I have noticed over the past few months as I have dropped in that many go unnoticed as they enter...even after the system shows you entering, and even after I (or someone) type(s) a greeting to the room--"Hello".
Now, I realize that maybe, JUST MAYBE, my computer could have a glitch in it that could cause my typed words to be INVISIBLE..well, it could ya know. So at times I have left chat, went back to reading some post, and made a comment here and there..and guess what?? My type was VISIBLE in the comments field of the post! I know this to be a fact because folks commented back to me from my comments left! :-)
Anyway, I guess I am just wondering why the changes in so many in chat..ya know, the reasons people do not greet people's entrance like they once did. It had such a warmth to it way back then, sad to see that has cooled down a bit.
I miss that snuggly feeling I had found whenever I dropped by...
Either I need to fix the glitch in my computer so that my type IS visible in the USM Chatroom, or I need to go on an all out search to find the USM Official Chatroom Door Greeters ... something has snatched them away I think!! :-)
I'd just like for folks in chat to know that a friendly hello goes a very long way sometimes in making a person's day...(even if I am an unknown to many).. and to those of you that did not see my "Hello", I would just like to say it again..."Hello USM Chatters" :-)
So what do you think? Is it a computer glitch or a Door Greeter Snatcher on the loose????
