WOW, Intresting that you should think of this. My tag "ARENA", comes from constant dreams I've had since I was around three. I keep dreaming of a guy who grows with me in my dreams. If I turned five that year so did he....see? He finds me in my dreams, and swears that we will meet one day. I know this sounds wierd, but it's true. All my life has been changed by this guy, that I've never met, I know he is my soulmate, but that's the easy part...lol, finding him is the tough one. One day I woke up from a dream, at the age of 19, and heard his voice calling to me. I called him by his name which I never remember when I wake up, but in my dreams I always know. His looks are constantly changing, but his eyes have a look in them that I would know anywhere. Anyway, the next day, I heard his voice in my ear. I skipped a heartbeat the way you do when you have a brush with death, if you've ever been through that. I could swear he was standing right next to me. When i looked up to where the voice had come from, I heard him outside the window of the bus. The exact spot where I ws looking was the word "Arena". I did'nt think much of it at first, but I could'nt tear my eyes away even though the bus was already moving. The next day my ex best friend tells me she was lost and did'nt know where to go, but that she saw a huge sign next to the rode with the words "ARENA" in giant letters. Now, she did not know what I had been through that previous day because she was at the time a skeptic. Some days later I dreamed that I was sitting next to him and I was sad because he told me he was leaving. As he got up to leave, I said, "Arena don't go"...and he gave me this strange smile. I thought to myself, "he likes that name"...so, he walked away and I did'nt dream of him for a few months. The story is longer, but that's the basic story of my tag. As a dog lover, I stumbled upon the plight of the retired racing greyhounds that are destroyed each year. Then I continued to educate myself on rescuers that network together within the united states to save animals from kill shelters.It would break your heart if you could spend some moments to look at the pics of smiling dogs that have been abandoned by their families for whatever reasons and are about to be put to sleep. If anyone is interested in the link to the lists, message me. There are even people that network together to "transport" rescued animals across country to perspective homes or foster homes that will take them. So for me "greyhound" represents being animal-compassionate and helping the world in a small way. If even becoming vegetarian so animals do not have to be slaughtered for my personal plate. Well ok I'll tell you guys! But don't laugh!!! Well when I was a little girl my dad knew this guy that would always say oop every time he got up or sat down...and my dad started teasing him and saying "oop" all the time....and I guess it kind of grew on him and he started saying when he got up or sat down...by accident I guess...so me and my brothers started teasing him...and he would say I wouldn't tease me about it or else you'll start saying it too...well sure enough I started saying it...I don't anymore broke myself of it...but ever since my brothers and my dad and friends...mom grandma...everyone who knows me call me oop...oopsie...ooper...oopie...or my known name here (ooperstar) They always tease me with it!They even page me when we are shopping...attention all shoppers if there is an "oop" in the store please come to (wherever) So you see it kind of stuck with me as a child!
