No offense intended, but the Bible does list who came after Adam and Eve, for example, Cain and Able, their offspring. ![]() |

Didn't the Bible say something about Cain being banished to another group of losers? I thimk Adam and Eve are just supposed to be God's people, totally seperate from evolution. But if it came down to which do I believe, I'd definitly bet on evolution. -Underground ![]() |
Date: 3/20/2001 5:46:00 PM From Authorid: 30114 good post, how about this.. what if man did evolve,to an extent, like to the neandertal man, then an alien species swung through, I dont know, maybe there was something in the earth they needeed. they bring their own slaves, they revolt and split apart, the bad aliens are left with no choice but to use the dumb animal on the planet so he breeds with him, creating all kinds of wonders, and horrors. through time, they create man or homo erectus, by evolving his genes at a higher rate through their interaction. They establish a society of men who they raise as their own to help. They put them in positions throughout the world and slowly introduce civilization, they distract us and keep us as slaves till they return, running things underground, through a false government.... lol or not just a thought... |

It seems that most people are continually getting messed up with the bible. Most pointedly, the first books. Most people do not know this, but the first few books of the bible are philosophical books, not scientific. When put in a literal sense, the story of creation goes like this. God created Adam (which in Hebrew or something means man) and Adam named all the animals, but none were a good partner for him. So God put him to sleep and took one of his ribs and made Eve (which in Hebrew or something means life). And Adam loved Eve and you know the rest of the story. So you see, God made man and then life, and the two have been inseperable since. -Universal Traveler- ![]() |

Date: 3/21/2001 1:12:00 PM From Authorid: 30614 The truth is a bitter pill, and the bible is a candy coating. The whole truth was simply too much information for the primitive mind to comprehend, so our grey skinned engineers have created a simplified version, complete with insignificant details to ensnare our wandering attention span. I feel that every religion is merely a vehicle for our faith, which leads to manifestations. All the self righteous jargon is only the pollution mankind has clouded the facts with. The ten commandments were the prototype experiment of mk-ultra....lol...Come on, it's all common sense, don't chew with your mouth open, keep your elbows off the table, clean your room, don't smoke marijuana, etc. All these rules are merely to increase the chance of our survival, but still, they are merely someone's oppinion, which has every right to be heard, but is basically irrelevant. Sure, I beleive there is a God/Goddess, but until we break free of the sociological devastation christianity has enslaved us with, our spiritual evolution will continue to run circles in the hamster wheel of blind ignorance. |
Date: 3/21/2001 9:44:00 PM From Authorid: 19753 I disagree with the primitive mind comment. At the time of Moses, there were many briiliant men in many nations. Moses is credited with writing the first five books of the Bible by the will of God. I'm sure if God told Moses to write down the scientific equasions for the universe he would have. |

The Bible is ambiguous in regards to creation. First we have God creating men *and* women(Gen 1 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() As for the offspring of Adam and Eve, the Bible does make reference to them but Judaic tradition also speaks of Lilith, first wife of Adam, who bore Adam one hundred children a day. This of course conflicts with a strict interpretation of Genesis but if you eliminate Judaic tradition as being nonsense then you have to eliminate most of the Christian ideas of hell, devils, and demons because that's where Christianity gets all it's material. But I digress. As far as the Bible is concerned, the first two creation stories become irrelevant when you take the flood into account. Noah, his three sons, Shem, Ham, Japheth, and their four wives respectively would be the true ancestors. Of course, genetics and the small differences in mitochondrial DNA between the races either a) disproves the Bible's account or b) if you believe the Bible's account, proves evolution. If ever there was an application for Occam's Razor, this is it! |
Date: 3/22/2001 8:18:00 AM From Authorid: 30220 It was said that Cain murdered Abel. That whole evolution thing I really don't buy. Their are so many theories it can not be proven. I still believe that from Adam and Eve the generations were carried out and that why they say everyone is brothers and sisters. Because we all came from Adam and Eve. |
Date: 3/22/2001 12:59:00 PM From Authorid: 28348 yeah and surely if adam and eve had children at a certain point there would have to be some point of interbreeding, weird? |
Date: 3/23/2001 1:17:00 PM From Authorid: 30207 If they were the first humans...then we're all inbred. |

Date: 3/25/2001 10:14:00 PM What if...when Cain was sent into the land of Nod, which was east of Eden,, and in that land, he mated with monkeys, since Adam, Eve and their children were suppose to be the only humans here, then wouldnt that explain evolution?? (Just a thought) |
Date: 3/29/2001 11:28:00 PM it's apparent...our family tree doesn't fork. |
Date: 3/31/2001 7:20:00 PM From Authorid: 27770 If humans did "evolve" from apes or whatever then how come there are still apes??? i think this alone just goes to show u their really was an adam and eve |
Date: 4/1/2001 6:35:00 AM Umm... I always look at the Bible in the figurative light. The whole thing about God creating humans must have been a, what's the word? Figurative speech. A deal to make Evolution simpler. God may have wanted us to figure out Evolution when we are culturally developed enough. Keep in mind that the original Bible was translated from Hebrew, and you've got my point. And the deal with Lillith does make sense. Lillith may have been a feral creature, kind of like The Missing link, and that is why she wouldn't be subservient to Adam. When she left, Adam may have been put to sleep while God really did take the rib and make a woman. There you have Eve. Doesn't Eden sound like a cross between Eve and Adam? Well anyways, once Cain gets banished, he goes to Lillith's village, and has a few kids. Bada Bing, Bada boom. |
