Dry Skin??

I dont know if this is in the right category but I need desperate help and couldnt think of anywhere else to put it. I went to a foam party on Friday nite (this is at a club where they pump out foam and it comes to up over your head!) and on Saturday morning I woke up with an allergic reaction to it. My face was all puffed and swollen. Its better now except that my skin has totally dried out and is peeling! Not a good look! Does anyone have any tips on how to get rid of really dry skin? Ive cleansed, and moisturised and packed on the aloe vera. And it just goes back to flaky and dry. Help!!!!

Date: 3/11/2001 6:45:00 PM  From Authorid: 27735    Go buy you something that those little grains in it so you can exfoliatie your skin. You might use one of those little nylon ball of netting too. Don't rub too hard or you might damage your skin more. When you are done put lotion on.

Fill your tub with comfortably warm water and add between 1 to 2 cups of oatmeal. Reserve some of the oatmeal to rub on your skin after it is damp. The oatmeal rub will exfoliate the dead skin. The oatmeal in the tub with moisturize and soothe your dry skin.

Date: 3/15/2001 1:15:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 17248    lol sorry karma! my skin has all cleared up - it peeled first on the bottom half of my face and then the next day moved up to my eyes. But I followed all different advice and now its perfect! Thanks guys
Date: 3/16/2001 2:23:00 PM    Be gentle. Sounds like you've had an allergic reaction to the foam. Use a gentle cleanser like Oil Of Olay Foaming Face wash to cleanse and a basic gentle moisturizer like Oil of Olay Senstive Skin moisturizer or Clinique Dramatically Different moisturizer. Avoid toners and scrubs. To exfoliate, mix a tiny bit of baking soda with you cleanser and be GENTLE..you won't get rid of ALL those flakes until the skin heals. You can also use a 1% hydrocortizone cream to alleviate the irritation. Hope this helps.
Date: 3/18/2001 11:05:00 PM  From Authorid: 14314    You can use some gliceryn, use it as if it was cream, I use it and it works very good. GOD BLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
