Quest II....Witherers Ledge....by StormTracker5

Dew covered ground, limbs hanging low
In the east, the sun was begining to show
Slowly the traveler's began to move about
As Profelius the king raised his voice in shout

"We will not stop until Witherers Ledge comes into sight
Even if we have to travel long into the night
We have faced challenges in this place
Now we move ahead, more challenges to face"

Smothering the fire and mounting their steed
Off to Witherers Ledge was now the need
In the lead Profelius did ride
His friend Dagraunt by his side

The king's guards, ever watchful was they rode
Wondering what further dangers this quest would hold
Glardon and Tarma following close behind
Thankful they happened upon someone so kind

They traveled on as the sun rose high
Not a cloud to be found in the sky
A good day for travel they soon found
As suddenly, something shook the ground

Profelius spun around with great speed
Ensuring the safety of his men was the need
His eyes growing wide at what he saw
Glardon the giant had begun to fall

Giant and winged-lion joined in tussel
Each displaying their cunning and muscle
Profelius thought at first it was a fright
Then sounded laughter as he gazed upon this "fright"

"Perhaps we have been traveling to long
We'll rest a bit, once again to be strong"
Each man dismounting their noble steed
Time to drink, rest, and time to feed

Glardon and Tarma soon began to tire of their game
As they stopped to feed, Glardon stroking Tarma's mane
A brief rest, and it was off once again
The king and his travel weary men

Just as the sun was bidding its final light
Just on the horizon, Witherers Ledge had come into sight...
