here's something of mine... your piece reminded me of it... poetry made of similar stuff..... In the kitchen the kettle whines a dull octave. I listen to a brilliantly coloured bird compose his reply upon my window sill. He starts to sing a tale of total and unreasonable love … of joyful pain… of life… of… I don’t wait to hear the end. The window is open. I decide to shut it. Even now I feel you. Even now I whisper ‘love,’ but it’s not your name. I sit on my sofa and wait for nothing to come. I am not whispering, ‘where are you?’ I am not crying tears of love. I am screaming devour me. You are ‘nameless’ to me, and I am nameless nothing.  |
