Is this the general Hindu and Buddhist concensus? If this is true they are in agreement with the Judaeo/Christians (to that extent). One of my big problems with the fundamentalist Christianity that I was raised with, (besides it's theological beliefs) was it's refusal to understand modern scientific enlightenment. It has been my hope to find a belief system where beliefs in God and an afterlife, and the paranormal, don't clash with science, but go hand in hand. I'm not saying that it's impossible that modern mainstream science could be way off; I just have a hard time imagining that they could be that far off track. In closing, I'm curious to know who you think the Neanderthal Man was, or what the other more primitive hominids like austrolapithicus, and others were? |

PS. I don't believe that people come back as animals either, but I think they do have souls. |

....and also I agree about evolving in lower life forms, but I don't agree with the idea of Transmigration. |

TC greetings, the explanation I have heard as to the reson why there were neandrathal, and other primitive humanoids is that there were other human like beings that were created in earths history, these beings went extinct may millinniums ago, they were seperate humanoid beings , not part of an evolving human, there are millions of extinct beings that modern man will never know about. these are just my thoughts, I value your views, and am glad for the variety of thoughts and beliefs of everyone..Logan51; |

Tc just another thought, all religious thoughts and veiws, scriptures and sastras, originated with the vedas, on of the earliest texts. I never fully understood any of my spiritual studies until I read and studied the bhagavadgita, it tied everything together, for me that is. Logan51 |

TC the bhagavadgita came much later than the vedas, it is part of the mahabharatra, the story of Krishna and Arjuna. Logan51 |

Hi, Logan51. I have heard of the Bhagavadgita, but have never read it. I do have a copy of the Upanishads, which I have read, and I find it very inspiring. Yes, I'm OK. The quake shook me up alright. It was exciting I thought. My cat, Michael was terrified. Poor guy. |
