Date: 2/26/2001 1:34:00 PM From Authorid: 23991 i think that since they're cloning organs for people and limbs and things like that..not only is it ethical..it's a necessity |
Date: 2/26/2001 1:41:00 PM From Authorid: 20497 if one believes in Jesus...then no it is not ethical....then you are messing with Him. |
Date: 2/26/2001 1:42:00 PM From Authorid: 9130 Therre is a good post about this from a couple weeks ago by Angel 1-- you might wanna check it out... |
Date: 2/26/2001 1:48:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 15976 I believe in Jesus..... But I was just asking a question. |
Date: 2/26/2001 2:02:00 PM From Authorid: 16612 I belive that cloning is not ethical. It is messing w/ the God's domain. The government does clone things though. There is a secret underground laboratory in Dulce,New Mexico that is full of genetic mutations and clones that the government and aliens made.I posted a couple things about it.It interesting.-TessekTheQuarren |
Date: 2/26/2001 2:33:00 PM From Authorid: 20699 I don't know what to think about it. It makes me a little nervous. I can see the medical reasons for it, for example cloning healthy organs for transplants, but a whole human, I don't know. Would it have a soul? JFD |
Date: 2/26/2001 5:01:00 PM From Authorid: 17525 Hey Kandi, interesting and controversial topic you chose. Ethics? Who defines the ethical nature of cloning? Bottom line, they're GONNA DO IT! We have nothing to say about it. Eventually a new race of human will be created which can easily be manipulated for the benefit of those in power. Also, the entire food supply will be controlled artificially and by one or two companies. Seeds will not germinate unless the right chemicals are purchased from the company who holds the patents on the seeds. This is not the future, it's happening right now with Monsanto and Novartis. They're certainly not cloning and making genetically modified food for the 'fun' of it. JMO |
Date: 2/26/2001 5:19:00 PM From Authorid: 11091 Been in this debate to many times. All I have to say is people need to learn what cloning is. It is the same as invitrofertilization in theory. They are combining DNA, like the cell and the egg, and implanting a women with the fertilized egg to make a baby. |

Date: 2/27/2001 11:50:00 AM From Authorid: 27046 its not ethical at all for whatever reason, death of an infant or small child or not, it was meant to happen...........Azairyia |
Date: 2/27/2001 6:36:00 PM From Authorid: 27678 What about the soul? Where does that come from in a clone? |
Date: 2/27/2001 9:20:00 PM From Authorid: 14571 It may not be ethical in some cases. If someone cloned a dead child expecting the new baby to be exactly like the old one than no it isn't. The child would be forced to become someone he or she isn't. But for cloning animals, organs, and a few special instances with humans where the parents know what's going on than no there's nothing wrong with it. And we already debated the whole soul thing go check that out. And if God doesn't want clones he can always make sure they aren't viable. |
Date: 3/4/2001 5:45:00 AM From Authorid: 9876 I dont think that cloning humans is ethical even if you have lost a pet or animal. If you think about it if you loose a child and they were cloned it WOULDNT be the same child. They may have the same identity and the same dna but they wouldnt have the same personality or anything that made the child unique. I think that it IS o.k. to clone organs though. There is a shortage of organs and people are dieing so if it saves that persons like I say more power to it!.....Laura |

I think that it is not right to be more than one person that looks the same. Animals, yeah, but people no. Oh, what's up Kandi!GREASY |
