Well, I was on the coach and my mom was on the phone and she heard my uncle saying something about a crash so my mom had to hang up from my aunt. Well, later on the news I saw that there had been an accident but didn't say that anyone had died. My mom got a call from my aunt and they were talking about it. My mom heard it on the radio and was so shocked.  |

My hubby was watching the race on TV..I was on my puter..It is a sad thing when anyone has a fatal accident,but Dale Earnhardt knew the risk very well..Rusure  |

OF COURSE I FELT TERRIBLE AT SUCH A LOSS, BUT I later I was thinking of how EVERYONE would be posting a story about it on USM !! and they have! THIS is at least number 12 already! Doesn't ANYONE figure that most people in the world KNOW THIS BY NOW!?  |

My boyfriend, brother and I were watching the race and the race was almost over...but my brother wanted to watch something else so he turned it....later we were flipping through the channels and we saw on CNN that he had just died...it was so weird....I didn't know the man or anything, but it's always a strange dose of reality when a famous person dies....  |

I was walking from my kitchen to my computer room (through the living room, where my stepdad had been watching the race) and the announcer said he had died, but that it hadn't been announced at the race yet. I like car racing, but don't follow it or anything, but it saddened me.  |

I was at Crystal's getting ready to go watch bring it on for the upteenth time when I heard it ont he news. I went to call dad (Uncle Bill to u lol) and thought I was gonna faint. My fav driver!  |

I was watching the show after the race.....it was the sadest tv program I have ever watched...I feel like I lost a important family member! My heart goes out to his 3 daughers and his wife and of course jr..Let the number 3 car race in are hearts forever!  |

I was at the emergency room with my children, I saw a wreck on the waiting room tv but I didn't know who was in the wreck I just said "oh, no!" Then they called my name and I had to go see the doctor when I got home my husband told me. I thought that it was a very bad joke. So Sad. My prayers are with the fans and his family. Angel2001  |

QT, I'm only now seeing this for the first time, that why it seems alittle late. his death was horrible, I know that it hurt and shocked alot of fans, if not all, but it was worse for the ones who were on the track, when we found out. everything happens in life so quick, right before your eyes, live life to the fullest, be happy, and be healthy. I was driving home from the race! I went to it, and the wreck didn't look bad at all! We watched them pull him out of the car, and thought he was moving. I now know that we were wrong!  |
