The son of perdition better known as the Antichrist has been discussed for many centuries among laypersons, Biblical scholars, theologians, historians, the rich, poor, students, and leaders of nations. This subject has fascinated and captured the minds of many including film makers. Much theory and debate has and is being argued among the learned as well as the unlearned as to who he is, he is already here, or he already was here. Many have theorized that the antichrist was Antiochus IV Epiphanes, Adolph Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Benito Mussolini, King Juan Carlos of Spain, Pope John Paul II, Henry Kissinger, The Ayatollah Khomeini, Muammar Gadhafi, Saddam Hussein, Anwar Sadat, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, and Mikhail Gorbachev. What do all of these leaders have in common? Not only have all of them come and gone but none of them possessed supernatural powers nor did any of them totally captivate the whole world and succeed at making it a one world government and religion that the Antichrist will do when he is revealed. The son of perdition is plainly described and foretold in the book of Daniel with the following characteristics and I present it here in 5 different versions...
1."And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up. And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people. And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand." Daniel 8:23-25 KJV.
2."In the latter part of their reign, when rebels have become completely wicked, a stern faced king, a master of intrigue, will arise. He will become very strong, but not by his own power. He will cause astounding devastation and will succeed in whatever he does. He will destroy the mighty men and the holy people. He will cause deceit to prosper, and he will consider himself superior. When they feel secure, he will destroy many and take his stand against the Prince of princes. Yet he will be destroyed but not by human power." Daniel 8:23-25 NIV.
3."And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors have reached their fullness, a king shall arise, Having fierce features, Who understands sinister schemes. His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power; He shall destroy fearfully, And shall prosper and thrive; He shall destroy the mighty, and also the holy people. Through his cunning He shall cause deceit to prosper under his rule; And he shall exalt himself in his heart. He shall destroy many in their prosperity. He shall even rise against the Princes of princes; But he shall be broken without human hands." Dan. 8:23-25 NKJV.
4."And in the latter period of their rule, When the transgressors have run their course, A king will arise insolent and skilled in intrigue. And his power will be mighty, but not by his own power, and he will destroy to an extraordinary degree and prosper and perform his will; he will destroy mighty men and the holy people. And through his shrewdness he will cause deceit to succeed by his influence; and he will magnify himself in his heart, and he will destroy many while they are at ease. He will even oppose the Prince of princes, but he will be broken without human hand. Daniel 8:23-25 NASB.
5."At the end of their rule, when their sin is at its height, a fierce king, a master of intrigue, will rise to power. He will become very strong, but not by his own power. He will cause a shocking amount of destruction and succeed in everything he does. He will destroy powerful leaders and devastate the holy people. He will be a master of deception, defeating many by catching them off guard. Without warning he will destroy them. He will even take on the Prince of princes in battle, but he will be broken, though not by human power." Dan. 8:23-25 New Living Translation.
The world is going to become so bad and chaotic just prior to the coming of the Lord, suddenly a man whose already in power will come forward and literally captivate the minds of the majority of the people on this earth. He will possess supernatural powers and eliminate other powerful leaders and persons of influence and persuasion and will prosper in his doings. Those who think themselves secure in their successes he will eliminate. This man will become so powerful he will even oppose the Lord of hosts for no one on this earth will be able to stop him. He will be the most awesome individual this world has ever seen because of his supernatural capabilities. He will utterly persecute and kill those who are believers in Christ and will have a complete understanding of dark and sinister things. His power will not be by his own meaning his power will come directly from Satan himself.
No world leader, king, or Emperor in recorded history has ever achieved such prominence and power on such a scale as this person will achieve nor ever will there be another like that ever again. This man will not only be a very, very, very powerful ruler but he will literally be a force for he will redefine the meaning of power. No one to date has ever displayed supernatural power to awe the masses as this person will display for all the world to see whom he will deceive. No one will be able to destroy him except Christ who will utterally consume him at His coming by His brightness for the Scriptures plainly foretells...
"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God." 2 Thes. 2:3-4.
"And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved." 2 Thessalonians 2:8-10.
The Antichrist is going to be the epitome of Satan's final wave of terrible deceptions soon to sweep this earth and those who are not saved and protected by the Lord's appointed angels although there will be persecutions such as the world has never seen that will surpass the persecution of Christians beginning in 70 AD with Nero will be deceived by the son of perdition's awful power, intrigue, and terrible deceptions. He will come peacefully and suddenly but at the same time he will do away with many including the high and mighty and there will be absolutely nothing no one will be able to do about it. To give you a somewhat more clearer picture of what the Holy Scriptures are saying regarding the Antichrist who is soon to be revealed for you Stephen King fans remember the novel that turned into a four part miniseries on TV called"The Stand"featuring Randall Flagg? Remember"The Omen"featuring Damien Thorne?
Both of these movies depicted the son of perdition in diverse ways but both of these characters portrayed had two things in common. Both possessed supernatural powers that was demonic in scope and they both came upon the world scene peacefully, unexpectedly, and unnoticed. The difference between Randall Flagg and Damien Thorne was Randall Flagg was not born into wealth but a drifter with a mysterious past whose rise to power was due to a deadly man made virus that escaped from a military lab and wiped out most of the U.S. populus while Damien Thorne was born into wealth whose father was the president of Thorne Industries. Both movies portrayed these characters very well but one minor detail was left out that made all the difference and that was none of them were already in power and this is what the book of Daniel plainly foretells about the Antichrist who will come suddenly and unexpectedly upon the world scene. Inspite of some of the mass hysteria surrounding the antichrist Satan is setting this world up as a final stage for the appearance of the son of perdition who will come with supernatural power whom none will be able to oppose until the coming of the Lord who will utterly destroy this man of sin and lawlessness at His appearance. The son of perdition like many other terrible plans Satan has for this earth in the near future originated from the realm of hell itself and praise the Lord for giving this compelling revelation to the world so all may know and understand what was, is, and what will be for the end times.

2-23. now this son of perdition is the one who will come in the near future and decieve many, the bible says even the elect if we are not careful. during the tribulation a man will come into the picture, the bible says from the revived roman empire. he will be given power from satan and will ultimatly become a very dominent force in the world dan. 9
. he will use this power to become the object of the world's worship rev. 13:1-4 14-18. read also rev.13:4. then you have the false prophet who will assist the antichrist in performing great miracles that will cause man to worship the beast, rev. 13:13-15. i also read a book on the book of daniel that explains everthing only using the book of daniel. their is so much more to write on the antichrist, i don't know a lot but if you have any more questions maybe i can help. get you a prophecy study bible, it's a big help. now on the comments that author 18737 don't you know that the god of moses is jesus. the bible says that in the beginning wasthe word, and the word was with god, and the word was god, all things were made through him, and without him nothing was made that was made.( john 1:1-3). it also says that jesus did not come to destroy the law but to fulfill it, matthew 5:17-19. not only did jesus fulfill old testament prophecies but i have proof using the word of god, using the old and new testaments. read and copare for your self, isaiah 7:14 & luke 1
