A man of formidable size
Now stood before their eyes
Each man blinking in confusion and awe
At the giant that they now saw

Profelius, never one to turn from fright
Asks, "What brings you out this night"
The giant began as best as he could
As he told his story, deep in the wood

"I've traveled this land high and low
Looking for the beauty that it does show
I have no family that I can recall
Their quest for riches was their downfall

My family took from men half their size
Taking their riches, food, then their lives
A task that I refused to do
My life soon became ridicule

A giant that could not kill or take
A very short life that would make
Those are the words my father said
Long before he wound up dead

So, I venture out across the land
Drinking from rivers, eating berries at hand"
Profelius felt sorrow deep into his heart
For the tragic life that this giant did start

Before Profelius knew what to do
These are the words that came right through
"Kind sir, you've traveled great distances across this land
We would enjoy your company", Profelius said extending a hand

A look of shock filled the giants eyes
A mere man befriending a giant was a surprise
"My name is Glardon, and it would honor me
To join with you and your company"

"Well Glardon, I am know as Profelius the king
My men and I are on a quest, a map to bring
Witherers Ledge is where we must go"
Proflius' words faded as a shadow appeared in moon's glow...
