Isn't that interesting. And your right, I never have seen an exploded bird. I like the thought about the vein of love going straight to the heart. See you tomorrow, >>> |

Very interesting Thunderhead. I didn't know all of that. Did you know that the "something old, something new" thing ends with "and a silver coin in your shoe". Something like that anyway...it's supposed to ensure wealth....or at least a lack of financial wanting. I didn't know that when I got married...shoot, I missed out...now I'm never going to be rich! LOL Thanks for the post...light hearted and simple...I needed something like this. *hugs* -Lady Nyx |

Guess what, over here they throw rice paper confetti and the pigeons go wild. I think I would prefer that to all those little bits of birdseed embedded in my hair! LOL |

I think you answered your own questions...as soon as you asked them. There are probably some alternative versions to these, but I don't know any. |

I do know that the ring is supposed to go on the hand that does not perform "profane" acts. In other words a lefty wears the ring on the right hand, and a right handed person wears it on the left hand. |

I have been married twice. It's funny, but the ring that I wanted to keep, from the marriage I wanted to keep, was very snug, and left an impression on my finger for a couple years after it was gone. The ring from the marriage that I didn't give a $%@#% about, was always extremely loose, and kept falling off. The one thing both rings had in common, is that my exes hawked them. |
