My dog will do very strange things all of the time, and i don't know if it's because if he was Human in his past life, or is Just a VERY smart dog. When i talk to him *he and i are VERY close, lol* he will wink occasionally. Sometimes i freak out and sometimes i just think he's trying to tell me something. Also, EVERY DAY when i leave for school...i look back at him while i'm walking out the door. Every little creak the door takes, my dog lowers his head a little bit *my dogs name is TOPAZ*. And if i shut the door really fast, IT goes down really fast. He drops his toy *that he's ALWAYS carrying* and looks sad :(. But When ever he is feeling bad cause he stole somethiing *he does this alot* his eyebrows go up like a human does. when he's bored he layse his head down on the ground. And when he's happy his Mouth opens BIG and wide. and when he growls, his lips curdle up in front of his mouth. This is a very strange thing and i don't quiet know how to explain it. I'll probably do a PSY-ADVICE to see what they say...but untill then please drop your thoughts here. THNX!!!! ~GodLifter~

How it changed my life:

Topaz has really brightened up my life. I was actually not that fun to be around at home because i was soo bored all the time...and didn't smile. But now that i have my pooopey *that's what i call him :D* i am lots happier! And this strange thing also makes life a bit more interesting. ~GodLifter~

Date: 2/12/2001 10:52:00 PM    Hi! I'm new here, but my Pop used to be a vet (before he retired Well, anyway he would say that most animals are much smarter than people think. A dog for instance he said has the brain capacity of a two or three year old. I know it doesn't sound like much, but have you ever had to watch a two year old. Those little guys are scarily smart!! LOL Sounds like you have a great puppy. USB

Date: 2/13/2001 3:18:00 PM  From Authorid: 8996    Hey.. keep an eye on that pooch.. A friend of mine's sister had an irish setter. They were told the dog was retarded. Funny though..one weekend we were supposed to watch the animals & house for her sister..We came home that evening to find that the dog had somehow gotten the jar of peanut butter off the top of the refrigerator & actually opened the jar!!! didn't break it! somehow screwed off the lid! We died laughing cause we walked in & saw his nose in the jar. Funny thing is.. we thought..for a retarded dog he knows how to open a jar!
Date: 2/13/2001 4:48:00 PM  From Authorid: 21923    Most animals are smart. Most mammals have a very high intelligence. For example, the dolphin, they have their own language, live in a society, and even play to amuse themselves (a quality only displayed by beings with intelligence). The exception to just mammals being smart is parrots. The African Grey parrot has the brain capacity of a five year old human. They can learn to speak our language and attach meaning to it, most other parrot species can to. Peace -HH
Date: 2/13/2001 7:03:00 PM  From Authorid: 27403    What a wonderful, wonderful animal! But then, we are all animals of one sort or another, I suppose. So, I guess I should say, what a wonderful dog. And he certainly sounds like an old soul that has been here a few times before to me. Very observant of you to notice. Especially the winking. Lightworker
Date: 2/15/2001 8:44:00 AM  From Authorid: 24317    Yep, my Rhodesian Ridgeback watches TV while I am at work, he even somehow turns it on -I still haven't worked it out. But he is truly watching and taking it all in, it looks very funny. He is alot like a human, but using the "but I'm a dog" look seems to be his favourite , but I don't fall for it I know he is trying to trick me sometimes. LOL. Little Lisa...
