i was in the kitchen when my daughter who was about 13 came running in with her girlfriend, they where both visably upset, when i asked them what was wrong, they told me they had been using my board and had a bad experience with a spirit. i didn't really beleive them, because i had "played" with a board all my life. i set the board on the table and took the panchette along with my daughter. i asked "is anyone there?" i got a reply immediately of yes. i asked please identify yourself, they spelled out patty. i asked for a last name and was shown wallis. at the time we lived on wallis st. i asked about life and death about relatives and when the house was built. patty answered all my questions. i confirmed all the answers by going to the local historical society, the registry of deeds for property, and the old cemetarys. the only name i could not confirm was patty him or herself. there where not patrick, patricia, or pats listed in the directory from the 1700's. i have since done research on the use of the board, and know it is not a toy. teenagers {especially girls} should not use the board because they are too open to suggestin and could become obssesed and maybe even possesed by the spirits within it. How it changed my life:i know this is not a toy and keep it well out of reach of children, i however became nearly obsessed with the dead and had to put the board away for a long time.
