I found this old book about knights it's called "knights of the Crusades" by Jay Williams. It was published in 1962. It is sooo very awesome..I am really enjoying it. My hubby acts and seems like one of the "knights in shining armor" he will help anyone more so a lady in distress. He would love to go back to that area.. ME on the other hand ..noooo wayyy lol. Just wouldnt be my "thing" but it could also be how we are raised differently now. Just more independant I guess :-p..  |

Well Dalphy you can do what my fiance and I do - get all dressed up in regalia and go to a rennaisance festival in your area (I know there are several in this area email me and I'll tell you where they are). We are also in a sword fighting group (broadswords like they used back in the day - not fencing swords). And yes, I have my own sword and my dagger too. *smile* You'll have to come see us sometime if we come close to where you live... cheers,  |

Dalphina, I do live in the past. On average for two weekends a month I recreate the middle ages. I dress-ip in medieval clothing, sing medieval songs, follow the old codes of chivalry and courtesy, fight the medieval battles, and have tons of fun. I fight rapier combat and I am learning to do broadsword and boken. I also participate on the equestrian field with the quintain. If you would like to try, let me know. Maybe you had a past life in that period and that's why you are so fascinated with it. I must admit, I have a fascination with castles, but I've never gotten to go in one. I really want to, though... My husband went to Germany for work and took pics in the castles. There were so many spirits in his pics! I was jealous! And he doesn't even believe in stuff like that! *hugs*  |

Great period of time.Late Dark Ages to the late Middle Ages, though King Arthur was more before the knights in armor period but fact there was an Anglo-Saxon king that united his people but not as depected in 'First Knight'. You should enjoy playing chess also.  |
