Can any of us ever feel safe?

With all of the violence going on now a days, how are any of us suppose to feel safe? I can't believe all of the violence that has happened over the years. From the terrorist attacks to the school shootings and work related shootings. Why is there so much violence? Is it because of the: video games, movies, and songs that are being made. Why can't people just stop, and see all of the things that are happening around them? I wish we could all just learn to love each other; no matter who we are.

I have gotten a reply that said it's because of a person's personality that they are violent. I can understand their reasoning, but I believe that t.v. has a certain effect on them, which leads to their violence.
