When I was in the 3rd grade I found out i have a sister(Theresa). Right now she would be about 25 years old. We share the same father and different mothers. My mom absolutley hates my real dad because of what he tried to do to me when I was 2. He tried to do the same to Theresa. Both of our mothers got us away from him right away. Because my dad is her father my mom is scared ot let me find her. I have never really mentioned meeting her to my mom, but everytime I even mention the name theresa she like flips out. She wants me to have nothing to do with anyone or thing that has to dow ith my real dad. And i can understand that and see why. She loves me and is just trying to protect me from my past. But one day in the car i was talking about my friend theresa and i said something like "theresa is sick" or somehting and she practicaly stoped the car. she was like "what about theresa???" i was like chill mom, not my sister,my friend. Then she relaxed. I really really desperatly want to meet my sister. I have always wanted siblings all my life and i dont think its fair of my mom to keep me from her. I know she has my best interest in mind but everyday I grow more and more curious about my sister...I also think I have a brother because in the 6th grade I overheard my mom having a conversation with our lawyer about my real dad and his new wife having a baby. I dont know how to confront my mom but I need to meet these people. I already love my sister and I dont even know her. One thing though, I want NOTHING to do with my real dad. Only my siblings. What should I do? Help! How do I go about talking about this sensetive subject with my mom without hurting her? Im only 16 so I need her to help me with this one. any one have any ideas? I wouldnt feel good going about this behind her back, and even if I did I have not the slightest idea on how to find someone.
