I couldn't believe it; this was too good to be true! Anna and her friend had made a bet similar of Jesse's and mine! Jesse was so gonna get it.
Wait, I better back up a bit, shouldn't I? You see, Jesse and I have been big on competition since we were little. I think he suffers from some whacked out form of Middle Child Syndrome, even though he is the oldest by 8 minutes.
Jesse and Josh are a lot alike, and not only because they are identical twins. They are both really great people, but Josh is the one that gets credit for it. I don't know why though, even when we were young, if the two of them did something dumb, Jesse got most of the blame.
I admit Jesse has dealt with a lot of crap, he always took the blame, and didn't fight back. I pitied him for a while...until one time he didn't take the blame.
Before our fame, we were pretty normal guys. At 13 I got my first girlfriend. I still remember her, she was a year older them me, and the most beautiful girl in town. But then I found out she was using me...to get to Jesse. Now Jesse was completely unaware of this...but I blamed him.
I thought Jesse was trying to make my life miserable by stealing my first love. Of course he denied it all, and that only made me angrier. From then on we were in constant competition...and I vowed never to have a real relationship. I'd use girls like that girl used me.
Now, 3 years later, we are finally famous, and the media thinks Jesse is the one using girls. I know it isn't something to be proud of...but I was. So, I dared Jesse to do just what the media thought he did...play a girl.
Jesse had won almost every competition that existed between us...but he was not going to win this one.
As Anna left to find Jesse I rushed to the phone she used and dialed the operator.
"Hello? Operator speaking" came a friendly, feminine voice.
"Hey, I just placed a phone call on this pay phone to my friend, but I threw out the number when I was done and I really need to call her back. Do you think you can trace the number last called on this phone."
"Hold on please." she put me on hold, probably to talk to her supervisor. " Hello, I can do that for you sir, but you need to tell me what phone you are calling from."
"Okay." I told her the number and she gave me Michelle's phone number, no questions asked. It was almost too easy. I dialed Michelle's number.
"Hello, is this Michelle?...Hey, this is Bobbi, from RollerCoaster... yeah...thank you...well I have a question...you see I overheard your conversation with Anna...no I wont tell Jesse...well, I wanted you to do a bit of spying, just to MAKE SURE the two of us win...The club they went to is in Centertown, can you meet me in the cafe across from it?...Okay, dress as if YOU were going out dancing. See you in 15 minutes."
