"A Young Jew's Dream" by Ariah

She heard the bombs exploding
Outside her bedroom door.
The Nazis kept fighting
And she couldn't take it anymore.

She was told that Jews were hated
And she always wondered why.
Night after night she heard the violence
And sat in her room and cried.

One night she heard her mother weeping
And wailing about the hate.
Her father wasn't home,
And it was getting late.

She asked her mother what was wrong,
And her mother only cried.
She found out the next day
That her father had been shot and died.

The year dragged on
And her life was very sad.
She craved every tiny piece of bread
Even though it was molded and tasted bad.

The day it was finally over,
She couldn't believe her eyes.
She stepped out of the house
And heard happy shouts and cries.

Her young mind bloomed
And things were no longer a mess.
Her life had blossomed
And she had a heart filled with happiness.

(hmm, is this good? i don't think it's well written. i don't know so please tell me what you think. peace, love, and happiness, ariah....and this is dedicated to all of the victims of the holocaust and of any other religious intolerance.)
