To the size of saucers Dagraunt's eyes had grown
As Dardous the goblin king stepped from his throne
Anger filled Dardous' eyes
Dagaraunt stood in shock and surprise

Profelius stood in between the two
Wondering what it is he should do
"King Dardous, what is it that anger's you so
Please sir, you must let us know"

"Profelius, if the story must be told
Your dear friend stole my brother's gold
Nimble and quick he snuck into the cave
Just to prove to his townsmen he was brave"

Profelius filled with shock and disbelief
As Dagraunt's face revealed his grief
Profelius knew these words to be true
As words from King Dardous continued to come through

"A bag of gold you stole from him
Filling him with rage deep within
He hunted you down across the land
For his bag of gold that he deemed grand

He chased you with everything he could
One day I stumbled across his corpse in the wood"
The last words that Dardous had said
Soon filled Profelius with fear and dread

Profelius knowing he had taken that life
His face soon filled with pain and strife
Profelius looked into the eyes of the goblin king
As a thought came to him, making his heart sing

"King Dardous, I know exactly the pain that you feel
Of the gold, my friend regrets he did steal
There is one thing that I must ask
Will ending my friends life bring your brother back"

King Dardous soon calmed in deep thought
At this question that Profelius has brought
"I would like to propose a trade with you"
Profelius' words echoed in the hall quite true

"You propose a trade for my brother's life
Something that has stricken me with strife"
Pain and sorrow accompanied what Dardous said
As Profelius and Dagraunt bowed their head

"King Dardous, the words you say are quite true
But hear what my offer is to you
Your brother lost his life for a bag of gold
For my friends life, I trade this goblet I hold"

King Dardous could hardly keep his awe inside
As he extended his hand with great pride
"I will take this goblet but this remains true
My eyes had never again fall upon you two"...
