Quest II....Captured....by StormTracker5

A snapping twig they all did hear
Each of them turning cold from fear
Two of the king's men spun around with great speed
To confront what approached from behind was the need

Swords in their hands, shields held tight
The king's guards were preparing to fight
Horror struck each of their face
Before them, two angry trolls in this place

Eyes so read from the anger they felt
A battle to the death was sure to be dealt
One of the king's men screamed out and raised his sword
Rushing at the trolls, "Victory", was his final word

Fearing for the lives of each of them
The king ordered, "Drop your swords men"
The trolls took this move with great surprise
No one's ever surrendered, you could see shock in their eyes

"You drop your swords in fear
When you know that death is near
Do not be a coward of a man
What kind of ruler are you for this land"

Those words tore into the king deep
As he raised his hands in simple defeat
The king's men took this in with disbelief
As one by one they did the same, filled with grief

Slowly each of them turned their backs on the trolls
Each knowing as captives this was their roll
The group started walking out of the trees
When a familiar sound dropped the trolls to their knees

Profelius turned as he heard the sound
Arrows piercing their chest, two trolls dead on the ground
Two arrows had pierced the air
Taking down this frightening pair

Each of them thankful that they will live
Racing to the trees and the shelter they will give
One thought still bothering the king
What was it that made those arrows sing

As soon as they entered the trees, the answer was found
A circle of goblins standing their ground...
