Pondering A Thought....by StormTracker5

No more pitiful scene than that of a grown man crying
His heart is heavy, often times he's left sighing
Hanging his head in quiet grief
For those persecuted for their belief

Some ask how it could be in this day and age
You would think time would dispel this rage
Centuries go by and it remains the same
Innocent one's lost in this religous "game"

Not one person stopping to ponder this thought
"Is this what MY God wished to be brought?"
Blood shed over so many years
Mother's and Father's crying rivers of tears

We are the children of today, even of tomorrow
Knowing what we know, why do we continue the sorrow?
We've seen what has happened in the past
How long do we let this pain last?

Perhaps we're in the same groove as the one's before
To afraid to open a brand new door...

Date: 2/8/2001 12:02:00 PM  From Authorid: 10075    I know what you are feeling. Religious intolerance is awful. Ive had my fair share of negativity and ignorance from those who dont wish to listen, let alone understand. I love everyone, regardless of what their beliefs are. We are all one with each other at heart...I wish everyone could see this ****hugs to you Stormtracker****

Not only suffering at the hands of a physical war, but those suffering at the hands of a verbal war as well. It's everywhere, and it is very, very sad. ST5
