This is because they have not logged in as a user, once you do become a USMer you receive a number and this identifys you. Many people do not want to do this for whatever reason and can remain anonymous. As far as the nasty remarks, join the crowd, everyone has at one time or another come up against this. But in all fairness they should not be sneaky about it.  |

Hi Whirlwn, I think you are describing the rudeness of an "AA," they are generally naughty youths that do not have an account here (therefore are annonymous with no tag or signature) and just come through to harrass people. We all hope one day that Admins do away with a way for them to pop in without being a member and say mean things...don't take it to heart, most of them just need to be sat in the corner for awhile at home...~*Charivalah*~  |

So in the future, when you write something, EXPECT ANYTHING" There is one thing that I am in total agreement with you. and that is, that some people can be insensitive, and uncaring. There is a way to express an opinion. But on this site, you will find very few. and these are the ones that make-up for the ones that are not. Don't take it personal. I am sorry you had this happen to you...It is the unfortunate consequence of trying to maintain an open site...With the exception of the "Debate" section authors enjoy the ability to delete comments on their posts...I suggest you use this liberally but wisely... People should be able to disagree with you,, but in a civil nondegradating manner... The best judge of this for your post,, should be you...If you get a rude or obnoxious comment just smile and delete... |

Hi whirlwn47 you are so right that some people don't have the sense that God gave a goose. I have always felt you should say something positive or keep it too your self. I mean debates and all are one thing. I try to live by the Golden Rule to treat others as how I would like to be treated exspecially when your telling of something you saw or believed to have happened for it is like opening up your soul and giving everyone a peek inside. Author 25731 No comments dont get checked before they get submitted because they go on the site instantly. A few Admins check the replies and sometimes a reply will be there for awhile before it is caught. Keep in mind there are thousands and thousands of replies that get posted on this site a day and just a handful of Admins that check them ... |

Don't worry about it don't let it get to you just delete it and forget that they even said that nasty comment. I've had those too so don't feel alone in this. I've had MANY of them before and it did tick me off but it wouldn't do anything so I just stopped and if I got something weird or nasty I just delete it  |
