Quest II...Return To The Surface....by StormTracker5

The creature had never had to face defeat
Never a more wise man did he meet
"You've played my game, and now you've won
Just as I promised, you shall see the rising sun"

Those words were music to Profelius' ears
As his eyes filled with victorious tears
Profelius began to speak with care
There was a treasure, yet he knew not where

"Dear creature, with your riddles so bright
You promised me a treasure to bring me delight
A treasure that I feel you should keep
All I ask for is the map that we did speak"

The creature stood in great surprise
Curiosity began to fill his eyes
The creature soon bolted down a dark hall
"I'm off for the map", was the creature's call

Returning as quickly as he had left
A piece of rolled parchment clutched to his chest
"Of all my treasure within my cave
A piece of map is all that you crave"

Profelius took the creatures words with a grin
Containing his excitement deep within
"The map is my reward now that this game is done
For I hold you to your promise of seeing the sun"

Never once did the creature lie
Handing over the map, muttering "goodbye"
Profelius grasped the map with care and love
As his body was being pushed to the above

Upon breaking the surface of the ground
Loud cheers for the king did abound
Dagraunt could not hold his excitement within
As he ran to his king wearing a huge grin

"Three cheers for our brave king"
Profelius heard as the guards began to sing
He raised his hand to quiet them down
To make them aware of what he had found

The guards stood in shock and disbelief
As the king told of riddles that almost brought grief
They soon built a fire and made camp
All settling in for a well deserved nap...
