A fireball heading the archer's way
Bright enough to turn night into day
The archer's, taking in this sight
Lowering their bows, scattering from this fright

The dragon flew through the sky
Not one arrow did it see fly
Taking in yet one more breath
An arrow found its mark, bringing on death

The dragon screamed out in great pain
As the last fireball's force began to reign
The final dragon's blast hit the ground
Shaking the homes and everything around

Sparks flew from this great blast
Igniting everything in their path
Buildings began to smoke and burn
As each person threw water, taking their turn

Head dangling, wings limp by its side
To the ground the dragon did glide
Building up speed, crashing into the trees
Body hit with such force, bringing some to their knees

Smoke filled the village air
Not another flame found anywhere
Profelius the king, called his men to his side
To the dragon's body they will ride

"Nardous, would you accompany me
To the dragon's body we shall see"
Nardous heard the king's words quite clear
As he asked for his horse to be brought near

To insure the creature had met its death
"Nothing should suffer" the king muttered under his breath
Heading from town and into the trees
To a dragon's body, into the night's breeze

The body was quite easy to see
Felled against a large oak tree
Nardous stopped in great shock
Not wanting to move from that spot

Profelius saw the look on his face
Wondering why fear had taken place
"Nardous, what is it that you see"
"Sire, do not go near that tree"...
