Maybe thats the way the site started but now as it has developed and more people have joined there are discussions about this sort of thing covering a wide range of peoples interests to make it a place everyone can express their own opinions. I think the majority of people like this as it lightens the mood, gets to know each other and others feelings and what they like/dislike.  |

No one should be mad at your for your opinion...I'm not, this is the way that you feel don't stress that....Yes things have changed around here but in my opinion, I think its alot more personal and that's a good thing because day to day families are made by all the users and a special kinda love and closeness becomes us all....People come here to help, get help, enjoy and express. Some of us around here have serious problem when others have small but it means alot to them to have us all here to help them out on small things that they stress on! Its good to know what everyone here is into and to know that when going on a first date we have our brothers and sisters to help us pick out that special outfit!! Its love, trust and honesty and I think its wonderful because there is no other place like USM.....xoxo  |

I guess we have to remember that we are all family here.I have given this lots of thought myself.When I first came to USM it was more about the unexplained.Then as we get to know each other we feel as if we can talk about anything.You have to remember too that so many people have no one that they can talk to about their problems.And here there is always someone ready to hear your problems and yes maybe help you solve them.I for one am happy to see a site like this ,a site where people feel so close to each other that they can share their problems with...For what is a family for?You know some days I need alittle cheering up..I know just where to look for it to..let's see there is Danielle,Pixie,Becky and magoo too..And then days that I need to hear kind words ....Banner,Pam, WhiteDove,Sur5r and the list goes on and on...I for one am very happy with the way USM is and I hope that all post stay as they are....~  |

There are so many subjects here and not everyone will like every thing that is posted. If you don't like specific sections or posts just skip over them and go on to the next that's what I do. I think if this site were only about the unexplained it would be quite boring. I mean how many posts can there be about the unexplained? I know I would be here a lot less. I look at it like this, if people are getting responses there must be an interest. LisaNY1  |

this site helps many teens from doing other things. it help reading lovers from wasting gas to go check out a book, then can just read it here, and you get to make friends, and basically share your whole life. It's fun and this isn't the place to have enimies, just friends. I like this web site, so if you cant see al east some reasons for it being good and cool then mabey you shouldn't be here? mabey it's just not 4 u, mabey it is you just have to see it from a good side, and have fun. love samee |

..it seems to me that this site is a place to: get unbufferd advice, discuss thoughts and ideas, and explore the mysteries of man/woman.... sometimes like you i dont feel like that "light topic" matierial, i would rather discus something more substantial. while other times its just what the doctor ordered. i mean its comforting to see that others have some of the same emaarrassing moments, or "silly" questions. it ties us all together as a comunity.....quietcool |

LOL, i admit I put some really silly topics on a couple of nights ago, i was loaded with meds and i posted about three stories, all about silly( real silly) topics. most of them got deleted too no offense taken though, heehee. i actually like some of the silly, easy questions though. too much thinking, hurts my brainLOL really though, i find humor kinda breaks up all the serious searching for "the truth"  |

I think that this site is about everyday life and what bigger mystery is there then life and the people in it. We have a very diverse group here. Many are quite young and to some what to wear is a perplexing mystery. I guess we just have to overlook what we think are silly questions and go onto something more to our liking. I feel the same way. In the five months that I've been coming here I've noticed that trend too. Another one that I'm getting sick of seeing is the, "my bf, my gf, and does he/she like me stories". I can usually tell what stories these are and don't even bother to read them. I used to leave at least 3-5 comments every time I visited the site but now I hardly ever leave comments. Only sometimes is there anything worth replying to. I beleive we're getting these stories because there are more teenage type members here now than there was before. I will still be visiting but only leaving comments when there is a story with some substance that isn't as trivial as, "whose your fav insinc member". Give me a break. If the ADMIN deleted the nonsense stories immediately then people would get the message and leave some quality posts.

I feel the same...and I have already written the admins about it. Many of the old-timers have left because of the nonsense and many only come in here every once in a while to check things out. I think that there are a lot of kids in here so starved for attention that they will post anything...and I mean ANYTHING!  |

Thank you for speaking up - if all of think it and never say it - it never gets said. I love things that get started for a purpose and stay there... we have to just keep doing our part and sometimes that is speaking up.... I'm personally glad you did. Some of the items seen here also keep the stuff that is put in where it is supposed to be - from being read and how will we ever get author of the week or poet of the week if we have junk everywhere in between and the pages move up.... wow guess I'll hush now too... When I first came to this site I didn't see half the topics or types of things that you can find here now. As much as the other topics take away from the mysteries part, it does open up the site to a bigger group of people therefor making it easier to solve those mysteries posted here. |

you know what??? i ask myself that same question, i found this site by typing ghost stories in a search, this site came up,it had lots of good ghost stuff, unsolved mystries stuff,it didn't have half the catigories like it does now, i dont even think they had chat here, i still love the site but i'd like to see more mystery stuff on here, the site should be renamed. I do like read the poetry and debate and lots of the other stuff, but i dont see to many unsolved mysteries here anymore....  |

You have a valid point.I came here for the title, back in Oct. and the topics on the left hand margin could meet that criteria of 'unknown' or'unsolved' for posts, if there were a sufficient number posted but there are not. I have several reasons why I think we have the 'animal' we have now but to go into them would solve nothing, change nothing,and be just a waste of time on my part.  |
