Ever Found Love on the Internet?

I have always been sceptical of relationships based on internet conversations and similiar ways of meeting people. I always used to believe that you couldn't love somebody unless you were physically attracted to them and I was also wary of the ability of internet users to falsify facts. However I have made many firm friends from chatting and so when I came across a guy who lived in Sydney (an hour away) I wasn't looking for anything except cyber chat. But more has happened. We talk on the phone every day and we've swapped pics. I have never felt like this about anyone. Ever. He's everything I've always wanted and more. But I'm terrified. I'm slowly convincing myself I'm being set up for heartbreak, however much I don't want that to happen. I don't know what I'm looking for from you fellow USM'ers - reassurance or advice? I'd love to hear your thoughts on internet relationships and any success (or alternatively failure) stories about internet love. Anything at all would be appreciated - GlowBuggie (in love)

Date: 1/18/2001 4:56:00 PM  From Authorid: 13937    The only thing worse than a heartbreak is never experiencing that feeling. I know how you feel, I felt that way once. We too met online. We have now been married for a couple of years and have two beautiful children. I have never been happier, nor have I ever felt this way about anyone. If you choose to meet him, please be VERY VERY careful, meet in a public place with lots of people around. You never know, it could be the best thing to ever happen to you. S22
Date: 2/23/2001 12:14:00 AM  From Authorid: 24319    omgosh! that happend to me to, We talked for like ever and he told me, "I think I love you" and I said the same thing, and I guess he is going through some tough times and i understand that. but he totally blew me off, but right now, I have meet a really nice guy that I meet on online and we talk everynight, and no one is allowed to go on the phone untill he has called. lol.. although I don't know what will happen. but it makes me happy to hear his voice.. I hope things work out, I don't know exactly when you posted this, but can you keep me updated on how things are? Peace and Love ~~Carrie~~
