As a concept of what this is basically it's a little box on a stand where people trade or grab books. Usually it's if you take one you should replace it with another you either didn't like or didn't finish.
I personally became aware of these a few months ago only to find out this has been around for more than 5 or even six yrs. If I had known all of my old donations would have gone to these beautiful and creative little libraries of various neighborhoods.
Browsing through some Youtube videos though I found out a lot of them either got vandalized in some way which is a shame or people just straight up take every book inside without even a second thought to replace them only to either resell or do who knows what with the books.
But for the most part it seems a lot of people have common knowledge and human decency to appreciate the concept and have a lot of honor for them especially now a days when things have gotten more chaotic or even disturbing. It's good to see something sweet and loving come out of all this.
Give me your opinions. Do you appreciate these and get upset when you see some emptied out for no reason or trashed. Also do you as well donate ?
