Have any of you ever had a moment like: " Oh no! I think I forgot to turn the stove off because I was in a rush to .....yada yada ...whatever?

Well, I'm here to tell you that if you never turn the stove/ oven on to start with, then you're in the clear.

This never applies to the top 1% as well as those who prefer microwave ovens.

Date: 3/22/2025 4:32:00 PM  From Authorid: 21435    Hey Karry I've had a few of those moments; that's for sure. Since Mrs. Kronk always worked day shift and I always worked nights and evening shift; I found it necessary to do lot's of cooking. Seems like I was always in a bit of a rush. Coffee pots burned out, sinks overflowing and yes, food left simmering (and forgotten about) and even a "misplaced child" a couple of times.

Thing was; it cost too much to take the mob out to eat more than once a month, back then, and it's not much better these days, either.

Case in point: Today, the Mrs. and I went to lunch at one of the local "choke and pukes" and spent twenty eight dollars for two 1/3 lb. hamburgers. (She had cheese and I didn't.) two sodas, and a small order of onion rings. That included a three dollar tip. I always try and tip the help, 'cause I was once in their shoes. Anyway, the food was tasty and we even managed to save a little meat for the dog.

"L.D."---I'm supposed to get 10% and that scrap wasn't even close!

kronk---Ugh!

kronk---Ooops! Larry...

"L.D."---You really need to start proofreading your comments.

...Hey Karry...people let you near a stove???

Date: 3/22/2025 5:48:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5940    Don't judge him too harshly Hekler. After all, you think sticking a JiffyPop in a microwave adds to the flavor of the totally burnt popcorn.

...I'm making some popcorn. Thanks for the inspiration.

Date: 3/29/2025 6:27:00 AM  From Authorid: 21435    Hekler's making popcorn!

"L.D."---I don't eat popcorn.

kronk---Well, I do. I just hope it's good old fashioned "Buttered Movie," and not that flavored stuff.
