Beyond the friendship..jimmy

His face hid behind wires, and tubes,
a friendly man, that I always knew,
His eyes half open,
not another word was spoken,
his life was gone years ago,
but the doctors didn't know how long he had left,
he rested his fingers on his chest,
as the final breath escaped his lips.
So young to experience death,
a life cut short..
someone I will never forget.
It's not what you own,
but what you do;
that shows others the light in you.
a cold stone in the ground,
right above the final resting place,
these words inscribed for all to see;
tomorrow isn't guaranteed,
enjoy today, and it's misery.
For nothing last forever,
not even grief.
true love is so deep,
not even death can keep our hearts at bay.
