Five
After an exhausting drive and flight I arrived in Massachusetts a little before six p.m. Austin at this point was getting antsy about having to be in his little sancturary and I as explained to the taxi driver where I was staying he let off a little steam by making a little noise as to say "Hey I'm ready to fly". I quietly tried to shush him and promised once we were settled I would do my best to give him some excersise.
The owners of the bed and breakfast were a little hesitant about me bring him in but assured them he wouldn't be any trouble . Finally finding my room I hung up his cage near by a window where he could look out and immediately collapsed onto the bed.
Several hours later my stomache started to rumble so seeking the nearest Chinese resturant ordered my favorites and proceeded to relax for when they arrived.
After filling up my tummy I quietly took Austin to the closest park I saw and let him do his thing for a while making sure he was safe while finding a bench. My dreams or memories as I have come to call them now were still confusing me and I couldn't understand what or if they meant anything at all .
Had I been someone else or was my name really Hazel? Why was I a hunter? Was this reincarnation or something else of that nature?
As I waited for Austin to return a late night patrol man had seen me and stopped to chat. Tall and dark he was with short fine hair and a the prettiest blue eyes I've ever seen.
"Are you alright Miss ?" "Yes I just wanted to see the stars and needed some fresh air and quiet." He nodded understandably.
Thirty seconds later Austin flew up next to me and nuzzled my shoulder to let me know he was done . "Yours I take it? " "Yes I found him one night camping injured in the wing and nursed him back to health."
"Why not release him back into the wild? " " I tried several times " lying through my teeth. "But each time he came back plus with his unique color of fur I didn't want to see anymore harm come to him.
"Well then I would keep him close and caged when you can there are plenty of extreme poachers and seekers that would come for him just for that." I agreed and got Austin back into his cage.
"Thanks for the advice and the pleasant converse." With that we said our goodbyes and I headed back to the B and B.
The next day after more research and printing out everything I could about Hazel including a photo I went shopping at a local flea market.
Really couldn't see anything worth of value until I noticed a green hood and right next to a silver locket with a clock inside. How curious to find these things together in one place.
Not taking any chance I quickly purchased the items and some lunch before I headed back to Austin.
Trying on the hood and looking at myself in the mirror I was astonished how much this felt right but strange at the same time. Austin looked at me quietly and when I turned around I swear I could have seen him smiling.
"I know weird isn't it" I giggled .
That night while trying to sleep I felt this pinch on my heart like I was missing something and the pain was tough but right after my first thought was Graham. Now I knew we had some kind of connection.
