Mel Brooks " History Of The World , Part One" has one of the most famous lines that's very funny but also very true. " It's good to be the King!": Those that are in power, be it monarchs, politicians, dictators, nobles, millionaires, billionaires etc., are prone to do whatever suits them. I would also like to add " Monty Python & The Holy Grail " movie, which is a great satire, albeit truthful examination of how a mythical figure of a King gets skewed because he became anointed.by a watery tart that gave unto him " The Sword Of Excalibur!" |

"Well" kronk---Well, what? "L.D."---Are you "cynical?" kronk---Of course I am. Who isn't? "L.D."---What about a "trumpet?" kronk---I never got past the "tonette." "L.D."---Ugh! |

Ginger I heard that "they" were thinking about dropping all the charges against DT, `cause "they" felt such distractions might hinder him in the performance of his duties as "Commander in Chief." "L.D."---Well? kronk---Well, what? "L.D."---Is that all you're going to say? kronk---Yeah, that's it. I'm in a bit of a rush. I have a serious gig coming up in January and I have to begin preparing, immediately. "L.D."---What, "gig?" kronk---I applied for a position as "senior bootlicker" to Elon Musk, but "they" said that position already had 17,000,083 applicants and would not be decided for something like 173 weeks. "L.D."---Yeah, that's too bad. You'd have made a good one. kronk---Anyway...."They" did offer me a job, though. "L.D."---Ugh! I'm actually hesitant to ask what said "job" entails. kronk---No, dog; it's cool! I am going to be a member of a 240,000 person team going to Washington D.C. All we have to do is march around the city once a day for six days, seven times on the seventh day, blowing our "trumpets" and shouting, like crazy, on the last day. "L.D."---Sounds rather strange. What's the point? kronk--- It's supposed to drive away any evil spirits. To make way for the king. |

Hey Larry That is one of my most favorite movies! Your comment about "powerful beings" calling most, if not all, the shots, is right on, as far as I see it. Now that we've established that...I'd like to hear more about that "watery tart." |

I would hope that I don't offend anyone here with this next bit. I will preface this reply by shouting aloud all forty~nine curse words that I know (some learned in a multicultural youth) and proceed to mention that your freshly re-elected stable genius is the antithesis of everything I've learned to be good and constructive over these many years. I can't say that I have ever detested another human more than this escapee from Bizarroworld and have never wished ill upon another anything close to the evil thoughts I send against him at almost any moment through the day. I fall asleep at night envisioning aliens abducting him or him falling into a sinkhole beneath Lard~O~Mara or being targeted by an Iranian drone. I may be running the last few laps of my life but I enjoy watching the children play and wonder what the future holds in store for them as they're just starting the long race. It disheartens me to leave them behind in this mess of a planet we've created. Whatever happened to honest and thoughtful people? |

^^^ I blame the sale of " Trump Bibles" which gaslighted the so called " Christian " Nationalists along with conservative outlets promoting the idea that a supreme being has chosen a grifter, adulterer, felon, sex offender and etc., to be the modern savior of a country that claims to be the beacon of the world, but rather has their own sad history of displacing native Americans and slavery of African people. These days it's " Corporate " thinking and he that has the mist money wins! But that's always been the way of the world. |

Ginger, I think we all share your frustration. I am not American, but I do my best to keep up with world politics, and there are many Americans I love and care about. I know Americans deserve a better President than the one they elected, but I also feel like they deserve to get what they asked for. It is not hyperbole for me to say that it is difficult to imagine a worse candidate – and yet he won. Clearly, I have a vastly different view than millions of Americans on “competency” and other qualities befitting a good President—No, not just a good president, a good person. I would not even trust Trump to babysit children. I would honestly not trust him to competently do anything. You say you are getting four years. I wish that were true. Unfortunately, you are getting a lot more than four years. Trump will appoint more supreme court justices which will keep the supreme court ultra-conservative for the rest of my life. His policies, should he enact them, will cause harm and damage that may never be repaired. It is even possible that US democracy may end. In my country (Canada), the government is already warning of massive amounts of border crossings from the US in the wake of a Trump presidency. |

...when the news of the world gets me into too h of a forlorn funk, There are still places I can go to relax. USM is my usually my first choice for winding down even if I don't get friend requests from buxom young women that seem to have a predilection to befriending older men aging between their 50's through to moment of death for some reason. Another site I find very to be very relaxing and also discovered in 1999 was Zombo.com where anything is possible. You should try it too. |

...Morphix...if Canadians lost their ability to be analytical when choosing political candidates from the TV Guide, our country might well be governed by the Trailer Park Boys, which, in a lot of respects, might be a good thing. Any blame could be aimed at Cory and Trevor. |

What's up with you, dog. You didn't even give me a chance to "get my head in the game." You just bit me! "L.D."---Yeah, well, you deserved it! Now answer my question, or I may be forced to give you a good mauling! kronk---Er, ugh....Could you re-phrase that question? "L.D."---.....CRUNCH !!!! |

"L.D."---You know man, I feel secure here, also. Anything else? kronk---Yeah, well, I just love the smell of sarcasm, in the morning. "L.D."---Ugh! Here...Take two of these and try and relax. |
