Hi guys! Not sure who's still here from, like, the 2004-2005 era of USM, but I'm the user formerly known as Alexa Angel/Killih (user 62570) wanting to pop in and say hello! It's been since 2007 that I last made a post on this forum; I was around 15 at the time, and I am now 31. I am in such awe that this forum is still here in the year 2024. I've come by several times since then - unable to get into my old account, sadly - and taken a stroll down nostalgia avenue, remembering all of the cool people I met on here who would gently humor my preteen angst and give me advice and counsel when I didn't have anyone in my 3D life I could talk to. This place was such a critical part of my development as a young person, and it meant the world to me to have that support.
I guess I'll share some updates on my life. I've since graduated high school, went to college and got a Bachelor's degree in Women Gender & Sexuality Studies, battled alcohol addiction (I'm proud to say that I am currently 254 days sober, the longest stint without a drop of booze probably since I was 16), got forklift-certified, have pet rats and tarantulas (they do not live together),and am now priming up to go back to school full time and apply for a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing program (with an ADN at community college as a back-up) next spring. I've also finally gotten treatment for ADHD and all that depression I had before, lol. All in all, I am doing well and happy most days.
