I wrote the sorrow and pain in nobody's name
Little did I know it was my tortured soul crafting the essays of your betrayal
I loved you, I adored you
With my eyes shut you let me walk this path
Unlit and down into the darkness
Without much sense I drank the wine you presented
Sweet and delicious
Which were masking the bitterness and poison
But as a fool and glutton I just kept sipping
I sang a song just for you
With your fiendish smile you drew me in
Promised me that things wouldn't happen again
Lies
Always with the lies
I was weak and like a pawn you played me so well
You dragged me though the gates of hell
Up and over and everywhere in between
You'd laugh as I screamed for my release
But like any addict I couldn't find peace
My hand trembles with the thought of your very face
How it stalks everywhere I see a way out
How your ghost lives freely within my mind
Knowing how it finds me when I think I have achieved happiness
It's been a few years yet there you are staring back
Waiting to attack
Ready to supply me with more barrel's of your drink
Weighing me down, letting me sink
Keep me under, I'm so tired of fighting
I just want to sleep
