The Detroit Lions won their first playoff game since 1992 tonight, first in 32 years! Very happy for them and officially supporting them through the playoff season. Hope my Panthers can get this far again in the future. The Lions still have a steep hill to climb the next few weeks, but I believe in them! A solid team with superstar players, and their head coach Dan Campbell likes aggressive plays.
In other news, we are expecting a potentially hellacious winter snowstorm here in the southwestern area of Virginia and upper northeast Tennessee. Expected to snow flurry through the evening and morning. But by midday afterward is when it is supposed to REALLY come down. 4-6 inches of snow are expected altogether, and the snow storm warning will stay until 7 am Tuesday morning. Lucky I bought some groceries tonight that should make it through Wednesday. Half expecting the ground and sky to be white, when I wake up in a few hours.
I am still reading my Inuyasha manga. Currently in the 14th volume. With 56 volumes to read altogether, I still have a LONG way to go. But headway is certainly being made. I need to catch up in the show episodes where I am in the manga. Luckily, I can do that with Hulu and/or the first 7 seasons on DVD I got for Christmas. :)
I have started reading The Autobiography of Malcolm X. Finished the foreword and introductory pieces this weekend. Good insight to a very deep and emotional work that is still yet to unravel on my part. Attallah Shabazz, Malcolm X's eldest daughter, wrote the foreword. She herself seems to be a tremendously good writer.
I missed church this weekend, but eh. Timing and rest can be a tangle. I can make it up with a weekday Mass this week. I have also been trying to read a chapter a day of the Bible since Wednesday. Been good at attending weekly Masses for the past month, anyway. Just gotta keep on keeping on.
How are you all this evening?
