Catholicism/Christianity/Faith in general...

As many of you may remember, I became a practicing Catholic in my first few years here on USM. I have rekindled that aspect about myself, going to church more often again and praying a little more. It helps especially with someone very close to me deciding to join the Church themselves. Been praying with my Rosary. I donated a a couple Rosaries to friends this Holiday season. I still have three I plan to keep
I think getting involved on a more common basis again will help some. I've been dealing with a lot of anxiety since the middle of the past decade. This and taking a break from Facebook could be the reset I need. It's been good to pick up and try again. How are you all feeling, spiritually or unspiritually?

Prayer soothes me and makes me feel good, therefore, I do it. I feel at ease going into any of the usual "places of worship,": and if I don't feel comfortable, then, I just leave.

"Whatever it takes." Happy Holidays and write on.....

Date: 12/21/2023 7:56:00 AM  From Authorid: 55251    Taking a break from social media is likely always a good practice. I'm not a religious person, and I'll admit I'm not really sure I know what spirituality means. Although, I think spirituality and religion are not synonymous. But right now I'm feeling content. 2023 is winding down. I'm off work for the rest of the year and just want to spend some time with family before the new year. Overall, I'll admit I'm not very optimistic these days. The state of the world, cost of living, etc.. all gets me down on a regular basis. Let's hope 2024 brings some good news...
Date: 12/22/2023 12:35:00 AM  From Authorid: 64942    I can’t do social websites. I much prefer usm although it isn’t like it used to be with lots of activity. Spiritually I am a universalist. Very similar to Catholic. Difference being we believe purgatory in the sense of being a reforming and healing center for all humanity.
