LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Mich. (WILX) - On Saturday, troopers with the Michigan State Police Brighton Post participated in the annual Livingston County Shop with a Cop event at Walmart in Genoa Township, but it didn’t go without incident. ( During the event, there were 75 police officers in the building.)

One woman was arrested during the event after a Walmart employee told a participating trooper that a customer was stealing over $700 in merchandise.

The trooper followed the accused to her vehicle - which had been parked right next to police vehicles.

The woman, a 62-year-old from Haslett, was arrested and sent to the Livingston County Jail.

And now I would like to suggest the perfect song for this auspicious occasion…..

...and she would have gotten away with it too if it wasn't for those meddling cops and their dog.

...probably a pair of those black yoga pants with the word YIKES! across the back.
Remember, this was a Walmart store. Fashion has no business being in these outlets.

...I bought one of those Invisibility Cloaks from Temu.
What I received was a blackout curtain. Works well when
I'm standing near a window opening. 4 out of 5 stars.

...I'm not trying to typecast senior citizens, being one of that club myself but
if this woman really had a plan on the go that day, she might have considered NOT
wearing her Depends on this heist. Faced with the choice of "looking the other way"
or loading her into the back of their cruiser, I think the final choice would be obvious.

"L.D."----Ugh! What would you have done?

kronk---I mean, come on, dog. Ripping off a department store while "Shop with a Cop" is going on. That took a lot of nerve, I tell ya. I would have had the woman grab her ankles while I gave her ten licks with a "10 foot 7 weight Salmon/Steelhead Imperial fly rod."

"L.D."---You really do need help.

kronk---Ugh!

Date: 12/12/2023 3:01:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5940    Kronk must really mean what he says if he’s going to risk damaging a valuable fly rod. But I understand.

"L.D."---I want one of those inverted flower pots and a bull whip.

kronk---You're an animal!

"L.D."---Don't want to deal with the consequences? Well, then don't play!

Date: 12/13/2023 2:32:00 AM  From Authorid: 101    I remember a true story of a police high speed chase, the thieves were driving a donut truck. I couldn't stop laughing, running scenarios through my mind. Tossing the hostages out the window of the truck to get the police off their tail.
No bear claws were harmed during the chase, however only 3 and 1/2 hostages were ever found all which had expired due to landing in a septic tank, despite repeated efforts of CPR by numerous officers. Bystanders found it strange, that even the officers that didn't give CPR at the scene had white powder around their mouths. All in all there were a total of over 300 missing hostage donuts that were never accounted for. 31 missing crullers were suspected of meeting their demise on the streets of phoenix. Police are holding a vigil for the next week, hoping some will show up unharmed, hope is at an all time low. Some 13 officers have been hospitalized with mostly upset stomachs, due to the trauma of the days events. PTSD has not been ruled out.

Date: 12/14/2023 6:52:00 PM  From Authorid: 21435    Let's go get donuts, man.

kronk---What I wouldn't give for one of those good old fashioned cream puffs.

"L.D."---Let's do it, man! What time does the donut place open?

kronk---I think "they" open their doors at 0430.

"L.D."---I'm not sure that I can wait that long.

kronk---Here's a piece of the crust from day before yesterday's pizza.

"L.D."----Grrrrrrr...CHOMP !!

kronk---OUCH!
