I've heard that magpies are real smart. "L.D."---They're not "that" smart. kronk---Why do you say that? "L.D."---I tried talking to a magpie, once. I was asking it for directions to some grog shop, in Santa Cruz. I needed to score a bottle of "Old Crow," really bad. kronk---What'd you want the booze for? You don't drink alcohol. "L.D."---I needed the liquor to bribe the night watchman at the pet hotel. kronk---Ugh! Anyway, what did the bird do to make you so hostile? "L.D."---I asked it if it could give me directions and it said "YAW-YAW," so, I'm thinking, "I'm good," then the thing says, "click--click..peep-peep..caw caw..caw.." and then starts whistling. So, I'm like; "What am I supposed to do with that, bird?" kronk---Ugh? |
