Date: 11/18/2023 5:46:00 AM  From Authorid: 5940    I would like to thank Hekler for warming up the USM audience! Wasn’t he terrific folks? Now I must go to post the JOTW , which btw, has been inspired by our own site Jester.
Date: 11/18/2023 6:41:00 AM  From Authorid: 55251    Hard hitting news right here. But I always thought Hey Larry worked for Fox news.
Date: 11/18/2023 8:05:00 AM  From Authorid: 5940    ^^^ Why yes, I’m a perennial runner up for the June-Bercy for broadcast meteorology. But I would also like to give a shout out to the people behind the camera who have strived to be recognized by the Society of Camera Operators! We meet after work usually at Moe’s Tavern.
Date: 11/18/2023 9:02:00 AM  From Authorid: 21435    OMG! She's MAGNIFICENT!

"L.D. Wan the Doggie"---Who?

kronk---Taylor Swift, of course! Haven't you been paying attention to current events?

"L.D. Wan the Doggie"---Dupe...Dupe...All that "really," matters, Dupe, is the price of moose meat in Newfoundland.

kronk---Ugh?

Date: 11/18/2023 9:27:00 AM  From Authorid: 5940    L.D. knows moose meat. “ Buffet” eatery investment is the reason established restaurants exist, like The Golden Corral!

...Hey Larry...more than happy to help get people smiling so when
they eventually read the JOTW, they still have a memory of happiness.

...Morphix...I like to get down to the gritty details
and it's usually Hey Larry underneath all the grit.

Date: 11/18/2023 10:51:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5301

...he has TRUE GRIT!

Date: 11/18/2023 10:52:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5301

...but more akin to Pigpen of Charlie Brown fame.

Date: 11/18/2023 10:55:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5301

...and, Hey Larry...That isn't Moe's Tavern.
A few of the neon letters have burned out.
It used to say "Morose Tavern"

And it suits you.

Date: 11/18/2023 11:07:00 PM  From Authorid: 5940    Ahhh yes …good movie that True Grit!
Date: 11/18/2023 11:14:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5301

...Kronk...I don't really follow Taylor Swift that much and know
very little about the woman other than she might appear reasonably
attractive to most men that still have their vision, is a thorn in
the side for one of your major political parties and has been deemed
"woke", which, for me, is a pretty solid reference.

L.D...Hey Larry mentioned The Golden Corral in his reply and I got to
wondering if the Ponderosa steak house chain ever reached that far south.
I think they sold moose. The grill marks with the Chevy bowtie was the giveaway.

Date: 11/18/2023 11:20:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5301

..."True Grit" is a classic.
Probably outsold by the Pokemon movie.
The world is going to hell.

Date: 11/18/2023 11:23:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5301

...Kronk...I need your wisdom.
Could my last reply be considered a haiku?

If so, I apologize. I don't ordinarily dabble in witchcraft.

Date: 11/19/2023 5:30:00 PM  From Authorid: 21435    Hekler "L.D." and I have researched "haiku," extensively, in the last half hour. We've come to the conclusion that your comment does indeed qualify as such.

"L.D."---Tell Hekler what else we discovered about the history of the word, "haiku."

kronk---Well, we found a reference to such a word being used in Southwest Louisiana. It would seem, according to a noted Cajun authority on slang, that "haiku" is
actually short for "Hay, Couyon!" A term frequently used as a greeting by drunken cajun people, when someone they know walks into a bar.

"L.D."---Isn't technology awesome?

kronk---I didn't know you were religious, dog???

"L.D."---Ugh???
