Considering the Moth

Moths are one of my favourite insects. I wrote this little poem in honour of the little white moths I sometimes see on my windows at night during the spring and summer months.

Cooled by bone-white moon,

your wings hear my hushed whispers

as you glide into the dark.

Evening's bleached flower,

spirit of damp summer heat

blooming on windows.

Date: 11/11/2023 9:09:00 AM  From Authorid: 55251    Moths, the nocturnal butterfly. Sometimes a welcome guest, and sometimes they eat my clothing. Glad to hear you enjoy their evening visits, they are great at inspecting light bulbs.

I chose a moth.
