...I think that ALL Americans would agree that William Shatner is the only choice to take your country's helm at this point in time. If only he was born there. |

...Benjamin Spock is dead but you're right...he could still add more heart to the U.S. than the current slate of untamed monkeys. |

This coming from a country that has/ had a loon on the reverse side of their coins. I will , however , take this time time nominate Red Green, because what can unite and bond more than the handyman’s secret weapon,,,,,,duct tape. Think about it. Duct tape can secure leaks. Duct tape can plug holes, Duct tape can mend fences. Duct tape can shut mouths….. |
Date: 11/2/2023 6:00:00 PM From Authorid: 21435 I agree with Hekler. The whole bunch appears to be no more acceptable than "untrained monkeys." That goes for both the donkeys, and the elephants. We're in deep do-do. |

Date: 11/2/2023 6:16:00 PM From Authorid: 5940 ^^^ That is why I’m a big fan of Red Green, as well as handymen, McGuyvers, and those who are capable of making it happen when it has to regardless of the storm that’s due to hit. |

...as a fellow master of improvisational repairs, I believe that every tool box or home junk drawer should include the aforementioned duct tape but also include nylon cable ties. Should a catastrophe hit the globe, you'll be prepared for it. |

Hekler You are certainly correct about those cable ties, man. A friend of mine and I were about sixty miles offshore on a fishing trip. He boat had a six cylinder inboard engine and a pully with a belt that drove the cooling water pump for his engine. Well, the belt broke and we were "dead in the water." A big offshore crew boat came alongside and threw us a bundle of four foot, heavy duty cable ties. We made a belt out of two of the cable ties and idled back into to port. Took a while, `cause we felt we needed to manage our cable ties, carefully. |
