Date: 10/21/2023 10:27:00 AM From Authorid: 5940 Really Hekler, must you shamelessly promote your ancestors just to attack a post that merely acknowledges that laughter is good for all? Go stand in the corner don’t move until an Admin gives you permission to do so. |

...I guess we hang out with the wrong types. |
Date: 10/21/2023 10:31:00 AM From Authorid: 5940 Pick off the litter.? Seriously? How many did your family have to pick from? |
Date: 10/21/2023 10:35:00 AM From Authorid: 55251 Whoops... I was too slow. Hey Larry beat me to it. His spider sense must tingle when Hekler makes a post!... Or maybe he's like a shark, just circling and circling, waiting for a chance to bite! |

...pick of the litter may have been a bit deceptive. I was actually lost in the wilderness as a child and raised by apes, none of whom read the JOTW. |

Date: 10/21/2023 10:39:00 AM From Authorid: 5940 Don’t blame the apes due to the inability to read. |

Hekler That's a cool monkey, man. kronk---Yes, it is. I saw one of those, at an auction, go for fifteen grand. It was in perfect working order. "L.D."---Yeah. We had one of those, too. It worked perfectly, too. Only thing was, it had no head. kronk tried to auction it off and got laughed out of the place. Somebody offered him $.75. kronk---I'm hanging on to that monkey. Someday, the person who gave fifteen grand for the other one, might need another head for it. "L.D."---How about adopting me, Hekler? I'm getting nowhere with this guy. Ugh! |

I knew I'd seen Hekler, before. kronk---Before, what? "L.D."---Before coming to USM. Ugh! Remember when we were hanging out in Cameroon, back towards the end of the 19th century? kronk---Yeah, sorta. Well, maybe? "L.D."---C'mon, man! Kick it in. We'd been hired to survey the proposed site of the forthcoming "outdoor monkey playground." kronk---Dig it, dog. I remember, now! You stuck your paw into a hole in the trunk of a mahogany tree, to steal a tropical woodpecker egg, and couldn't' get your paw out, unless you let go of the egg. You spent nine hours trying to figure it out. That was so funny! I hadn't thought off that in decades. Thanks for the memory, dog. "L.D."---Ugh! Not that memory! I was about to refer to the time we ran across a "shrewdness" of great apes around "Ekom-Nkam Falls." Remember the thin, pale, ape? The one that came into camp and tried to trade a coconut full of poutine for that old "tailboard camera." kronk---No way! "L.D."---Way! kronk---Life is stranger than "Strictly Fiction." |
