Ok Kronk! I just hit the Random Button and came up with a story from ‘99 titled “ Draw Your Own Conclusions, Then Let Me Know.” Author #2469. I suspect the theme song to this post would be Al Stewart’s “ Year Of The Cat.” ![]() |

"Froth on the daydream" ![]() ![]() There is, however, a real dog in the household named "L.D." (Lucky Dog) I was heading out to an elevated shooting platform in the forest, to try and collect some venison. As I approached, I saw something curled up underneath the structure and it turned out to be a four month old puppy. I cancelled the hunt, took him back to the house, fed him and took him to the vet. I asked the vet what kind of dog he was and the doctor told me he was a "cute dog." Other folk have told me that "L.D." is what's known in these parts as a "Texas Heeler." (Australian cattle dog/collie, cross) He is brown and white and has traces of blue and red. That was seven and a half years ago and "L.D." is still going strong and he's the darling of the household. I try striking up a conversation with him, occasionally, but he mostly just barks at me. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
